Please see the e-mails below between myself and the competition organisers - hope we may get somewhere now!

Nick,

Just a little feedback from our club.

The fans have really thrown themselves into this competition, and it was getting a lot of coverage locally in the media, and also on a lot of social networking sites.

There is now unfortunately a little bit of negativity creeping in which could quickly dampen the whole thing down from our point of view, this is pre-dominantly based on

a) Not having a definitive end date, they are saying, and I have to agree, that every other competition has set dates that are known before voting starts
b) The website crashing
c) A lot of people voting and not getting e-mails acknowledging their vote
Could you please respond to this e-mail with a few answers that will hopefully put all our minds at rest, and encourage us to keep on promoting the competition.

Regards

Martin Lewis
Commercial Manager
Barrow AFC

Martin,

There was an issue with the site last night because of the volume of votes. The bandwidth has been increased and it should be fine now.
The votes that we received last night will be counted and people should get e-mail confirmation within the next 24 hours.

Apologies for the problems but you can tell people their votes will count.

I do take your point about the duration of the vote. I speak to the people at Plumb Venter and see if we can get a definitive date.

Best wishes, Nick

Ebbsfleet vote has gone up 650 in the last 6 hours.
About 108 an hour.
How have they managed that?

I like the gutter in the floor bogs on the pop side. They've gpt character.

I remember one time when I went for a wazz and my nephew was beside me. "Stop it" he shouted, Stop what? I thought. Turns out he was standing a bit close to the wall and he was getting serious splash backs to the face. You've got to get your W2WD (Wanger to Wall Distance) right.

Barrow fans, stay proactive- we can get those votes in!! , have a word with neigbours and friends, Make up an A4 poster with those tear off tabs with the website name on it,get it up on the noticeboards at work/school, go out and put it in two or three shops, pub, takeaway, church hall even! BAFC- give out a reminder slip with tickets sold for the cup game, slip it n the programme- That's the spirit of it.

Keep on it Barrow fans :scarf:
