New commercial idea, selling viewing glasses to those in the main stand. Like the ones you get at the theatre and whatnot. 50p a game.

That was my first thought. One metre is a hell of a distance to us old 'uns. Yet more crap to carry to the game---binoculars now to go with the rattle, sweets, flask, blanket, fur trimmed hat, bum bag and cushion cos those plastic seats are cold.. The first 5 minutes are spent unpacking the Harrods bag they are conveyed in.

The heavy machinery is now at the ground ready to start the ground works for the new floodlights.

The scaffolding from under the main stand is also due to come down any time now, there were actually some flat backs there yesterday afternoon so they might have already started removing it by now.

Various areas of the ground have also been painted thanks to the link-up with Furness College.

With the original timescale quoted as 6 weeks to complete the installation of the new floodlights, that will bring us right up to the weekend of the 1st league game ( if we're at home ).
If delays are encountered, there will be problems with fixtures.

Didn't the club also state that the old lights would be available right up until the new ones are up and operational.
Let's just wait and see watt else comes to light over the next few weeks.

What Mark Mc said - was mentioned at the Fans Forum that the new lights are in different locations to the old ones so they can use the old lights till the new ones are up and working.
Perhaps the Trust could do some sort fundraising competition for guessing the date of when the new lights will actually be up and working'?

Steve Casson is stepping down from his role of commercial manager, the job will be advertised in the coming days and it's hoped an appointment will be in place by no later than mid March.

Good but I thought Emma was commercial manager?
