Have to agree with all of the above.Apart from the goal we were terrible. There was no fight,we looked at one point that we had given up.Players standing with the ball wondering who to pass it to next. They should be aware of who is around them so the passing is quick and efficient. You could probably name about four players who were really trying ,the rest of them couldn't care less.That.attitude needs to change if this situation is going to change.Play like that on Saturday and a lot of the crowd will vote with their feet.

Re: Shrewsbury v Barrow
The time for I told you so’s has to end. The feeble excuses has to end. The banging our heads against brick walls has to end!
We have to adopt a way of playing in which we firstly have damage limitation then we battle our way out of this and play a formation that gives us every chance of doing so.
People within the club have to hold their hands up to mistakes to stand any chance of getting out of this.
A J and Goody would show more nouse and instil grit and belief into this squad than Gallagher and Welsh are currently.
It ain’t working and it doesn’t look like working. Sort it before it’s too late

This is the thing isn't it. As you say, Can see it turning really toxic.Gazza wrote: ↑Tue Feb 10, 2026 9:52 pmWell, Hornby is always saying that they aren’t scared to make tough decisions, so even if Wood was appointed by those funding the club and he is the reason behind the last 2 or 3 managerial appointments then they owe it as much to themselves to get rid and if that is the only stumbling block to approaching Wild then it needs to be done in the morning at the latest! This is going to get very toxic on Saturday and next Tuesday if either that doesn’t happen or we don’t win both those games!bluessupporter wrote: ↑Tue Feb 10, 2026 9:40 pm Don't think Wild would or could come back unless Wood goes, and that ain't gonna happen because Wood was appointed to the Board by the Board.
He is fireproof!
If we don't win on Saturday - they are then looking to Tuesday - and if we don't win on Tuesday.......
The walk to the the trap door has begun.

Absolute shit show
What were the scenes at the end? Presume it was verbal towards the cowards in Barrow shirts was it? Fair play to the fans making the effort tonight they all deserve personal apologies from that disgrace of a team.

Sacking wing looks like a poor decision atleast we would of picked some points up.
Re: Shrewsbury v Barrow
I heard Adam mentioned Dave Bayliss was there tonight does he fancy a job till the end of the season !!!
With the squad we have not sure who would get a tune out of them Canavan and Raglan should even though now knocking on be a lot better than the defensive crap we have been seeing all season.

I've watched the managers club interview and he's saying the right things and maybe if we were a mid table team who lost their previous manager to a higher club he would be ok. In a relegation battle though I'm not sure he is the best appointment. I guess time will tell but he has to pull some rabbits out of a hat in the next two games because losing every game is not good enough

Shambles!!!
Problem lies much deeper than PG. He probably wasn't the right appointment but he has inherited a sack of shit.
We have about 8 or 9 wingers on our books (and have had all season) yet we play without wingers. Our recruitment has not matched our formation or style .... that is not solely down to the manager in our current set up yet they become the easy scapegoat.
Back to basics lads and 4-4-f***ing-2. That was an embarrassment tonight and I had to walk away after the end as I could not applaud but equally I was not going to get abusive.

Re: Shrewsbury v Barrow
Last night was summed up by two people Niall Canavan & Charlie Raglan some supporters were calling the captain over for a calm conversation and he stood behind all his young teammates shrugging his shoulders refusing too engage. Absolute embarrassment. Fair play to our young lads who fronted that away end as it’s not pleasant but it was justified.
Raglan straight off , Harper straight off , Canavan hiding
Leaders lol

Re: Shrewsbury v Barrow
The players have to take a lot of the blame and rumours are Gallagher is unhappy with a few of them but it is his job to sort that out and if needs be pick a team who will fight etc not a team just picking up wages.
That said, if we were in non league, no ambition etc a risk on an inexperienced manager would be ok, however if we want to stay in the league then it was a bad move. We needed an experienced manager not just an ex player. Absolute awful recruitment by the board in regards to managers and awful recruitment of players by Wood. Players being signed should always be the managers choice.
Going to be a long few months relying on other teams results

I just don’t understand why we keep persisting with a system we don’t have players for/ doesn’t work/ hasn’t shown any glimpses of working/ and has already got one gaffer the boot?

Newfoundland and Labrador have requested we turn our shirts inside out.

Indeed, his dismissal turned a disappointing season into one where league status is at serious risk.Craigthered wrote: ↑Tue Feb 10, 2026 11:37 pm Sacking wing looks like a poor decision atleast we would of picked some points up.

I diagreee. Whing had run his course and PH said in his interview players and staff murmurings told them it wasn't working. Not replacing him with an experienced manager is the big mistake. imoROKERITE wrote: ↑Wed Feb 11, 2026 8:38 amIndeed, his dismissal turned a disappointing season into one where league status is at serious risk.Craigthered wrote: ↑Tue Feb 10, 2026 11:37 pm Sacking wing looks like a poor decision atleast we would of picked some points up.
