How's this for a bit of reverse conspiracy.

We will still be in an international qualifying window in November (both in Europe and beyond). By resetting the Dover game for a month backwards it is quite possible that those of their players that were unavailable for Saturdays fixture (Ricky Modeste etc.) and subject to these players being called up by their respective federations they may still be missing when Dover's train finally pulls in. Even if they were back they'd have just got off a plane.

So perhaps fate may yet intervene to redress the advantage that Dover seem to have achieved for themselves.

Who were all these international call-ups? Dover fans said that Ricky Modeste was the only one missing from the first team for that reason.
Anyway, three or more call-ups anywhere in the squad and Dover can ask for a postponement, so I can't see how this will be an advantage to us of any sort.

Modeste is the only one. The next international matches are for the date that the Preston Lancs cup match was to be on. That has now been brought forward a week at Barrow's request, quite possibly so we can rearrange the Dover game for that date. If Suffolk Blue reads back a few pages he'll see that I suggested that a while ago.

Should've done my research. Ricky Modeste is the only one affected potentially -though I'd still much prefer to play Dover without him. Anthony Jeffery was previously called up but I believe may have now left the club. Adam Lokko was suspended from the Barrow game and not on international duty (indeed he has an England C cap). The fourth was an injury. Apologies.

I think I did say that in my response above. But I referred to him a Adam Lokko and not Kevin (or Rebek...aah). Sorry for even raising this. Lets forget about Dover for a few weeks.
