Good idea, might be worth a go to make some money out of rubbish.
I suggested a while ago trying to make a mini floodlight out of the remains of the old ones, have it somewhere in the ground as a kind of nod to the history.

It might be a bit too much messing to do anything like that but there is something we are looking at doing with a part of one of them.

Think we should do what my wife would do - ship them back to Dunfermline, tell them they don't really fit properly and ask for a refund.

They were bought second hand from Arsenal. Dunfermline were the opposition for the official switch on.

The floodlights were new, bought from a firm in Dunfermline - hence Dunfermline were our opponents for the official switch on.
The "Arsenal" lights were the ones along the front of the old stand and were used for training, although they were turned on for the ill-fated match against Gillingham.

Yes,I seem to remember being told that the old Arsenal lights were brought to the club because of a connection to one of our former players called Jack Crayston I believe.

Am I right in thinking that when Yeovil Town first acquired floodlights (1958?) that Barrow were the illustrious opponents chosen to play them when they were switched on for the first time?
Perhaps we should return the favour.
