Views from a visiting Luton fan.

Toilets were of the pre-war variety with the addition of a plastic roof, bit like the ones at Altrincham and York, and should have a preservation order put them before they are ruined by modern fittings!

Got to agree, the website had become confusing, so have sought a bit of clarification, so here's an update.

We are shortlisted (everybody who bothered to enter is shortlisted as there's only 11 of us), and the voting will commence on the 1st November 2011.

Here is the Press release from the Marketing Company

Can Barrow Scoop £100,000 windfall?

SPENDING a penny at the Furness Building Society Stadium might soon be a much better experience – if Barrow can scoop a £100,000 washroom windfall.

Barrow fans can turn that dream into reality by voting in The Best Loo-sers competition. All they need to do is visit http://www.bestloosers.co.uk and back their team - voting kicks-off on November 1.

Clubs have been working hard to clean-up football’s image and they need hygienic, efficient loos that not only conserve water and energy but provide a safe, comfortable environment for families and the disabled.

The other clubs in the play-offs are: Aldershot, Barnsley, Bradford City, Ebbsfleet United, Exeter City, Oldham Athletic, Plymouth Argyle, Scunthorpe Utd, Sheffield Utd, and Tranmere Rovers.

Whichever club emerges victorious will also get £1,000 to award to a grass roots team of their choice for a washroom makeover.

The competition is the inspiration of Plumb Center, which has more than 490 branches in the UK. It has joined forces with leading companies: Cistermiser, Cubicle Systems, Twyford Bathrooms and Franke Sissons.

These companies have a lot of experience in delivering stadia fit for the 21 century; including Twickenham, the Aviva Stadium in Dublin and the b2net stadium in Chesterfield.

Paul Bradshaw from Plumb Center said: “Football is a national obsession and we are really excited about this competition and the difference it will make.

“Barrow might be a click away from securing state-of-the-art washrooms so I would urge supporters, their family and friends to get voting.”

Got to be in it to win it - all ideas to get mass votes gratefully accepted.

Cheers

Martin

I think as already mentioned in this thread that this will be difficult to win. Sheff utd for example will put this in a match programme, local paper, put it on the score board at half time and will get more votes than us in a day!!! I know people can put it on there facebook and twitter things. But how are we going to beat sheff utd ,bradford etc. I've got a couple of ideas but not putting on here in case its cheating.

Think that'll only work when you're called Eboue.

Sadly these clubs also have a bigger fan base so will probably win the money.
But they ain't Barrow!!
Come on lets not get beaten before we've started.
It's called being realistic.

I'd say Ebbsfleet's picture looks the worst.

Then

Barnsley
Barrow
Plymouth
Tranmere
Oldham

The rest look decent.

I think this is a ridiculous way of judging something. Obviously those teams with the most supporters are going to have an advantage. The fairest way of doing this would be for the judges to go round and inspect the toilets nominated---if they could stomach it.
The one that generates the most nausea is the winner.
