I hope Danny Rowe had a knock otherwise him being taken off is baffling, particularly ahead of Ruthers who was atrocious.
Ash Hoskin said in interview that Rowe was stamped on just before half time and they think he may have a broken toe.

To be fair- The first Lincoln goal was a great bit of football. The second- well we know all too well about our record this season from corners.
I really hope Rowe isn't injured.

We will get beat on Tuesday.
Absolutely no passion or drive in the team, until 85mins or so.
You don't need to be fantastic players to stay in this division, just determination and willingness to stick your head on the line.
Bring in boys from lower local leagues, they will step up because of thier opportunity and local lads always do better.

Glad to read that (above) about Rowe having broken his toe. Well no, let me rephrase that, glad there is a perhaps a sane reason for taking him off. He was the only one who carried a threat and looked willing to shoot and take them on. We were so poor today and deserved what we got - - - nothing. It's been said many times that we can't keep coming back from 0-2 down and today the chickens came home to roost. We only came to life in the last 10 minutes and it was too late this time. For 80 minutes all I could see was torpor all over the park. It's no good waking up at 4.40 p.m.

Can't believe Skelton wasn't playing and that BOTH Hunter and Baker were out as a pair again, baffling

.
Painful to watch and IMO we got what we deserved.............takes big sigh.

0/10 for the troll about local players.

Exactly. Big lad and can pass, but never a left back. Skelts had all manner of rubbish in front on him early in the season, and didn't start well, but he will balance the side.
They weren't very good, just cynical, determined and big. Their first was decent but the second was business as usual. We were weak all over the park until 80 minutes when we started to grow a pair, but even then we were shot shy.
Weak defending, weak midfield play and bad decision making up top. I tend to try to give Ruthers a break but he is allergic to going outside a player and was rank today, again. He must have photos of Bayles with 2 nuns and a pack mule in a Formby hotel, that is the only rational explanation for his continuing presence on the wing.
An irritating day.

For the first hour we were the better team (slightly), and but for some great saves from their keeper, reluctance to shoot on our behalf, and missed chances, we could have been leading. Following their second goal our heads went down, only to be revived much too late following the penalty. We will play worse and win. However our defence is a worry we seem incapable of defending the simplest of balls played in to the box.

Poor show from Barrow until the last 15 minutes, all Barrow at the end but they just ran out of time. Left it too late to start playing... again. 4 minutes added time with 5 subs used and the physio on a couple of times. Loads of time wasting and kicking the ball away by Lincoln, but ref just shock his head again and again waving away any complaints despite constantly telling the Lincoln players to get on with it, and blowing his whistle at the keeper over a goal kick. Don't blame them as they were the worst side I seen this season (I believe Cambridge were even worse but I missed that one). If they had not wasted so much time Barrow probably would have stolen a point at the end as we were beginning to open them up time after time. Failure to do the simple thing though cost the team. Lincoln's 1st shot on target resulted in a goal, they rarely troubled Hurst all game. The other was an in swinging corner attacked with a header at close range, after running from the edge of the area unmarked. Barrow carved out some excellent chances and the Lincoln keeper has to take credit for keeping his side in it with a handful of top drawer saves. A Rowe shot and Aldred header from a corner the best efforts coming in the first half.
Disappointed.

I'm not sure if Skelton would have made any difference down that left side- he's had poor games too and that's why he was dropped. Only Aldred and Anderson have shone defensively this season.
I've not seen anything from any of the others to give me confidence at the back

What the [SwearFilter] does Rutherford have to do to get dropped.
Hurst
Pearson Hessey Aldred Skelton
McConville Ray-Harvey Baker Rowe
Boyes Almond
That team will win games. As someone above said, you don't have to be good to stay in this division, just work hard and know what your jobs are on the pitch.

Explain
I've played a lot in the West Lancs Leugues and I can tell you now I would have subbed about 7 of Barrows players for like for like subs today for old team mates.
Watch a West Lanc game, watch the passion, drive and willingness to win, and tell me why they don't deserve a post about? They are usually all half decent players too. Tackles flying around, awful pitches and most important, teamwork.
Troll, pfffft.

I have watched West Lancs games, Barrow reserve games, Lancs Cup games etc etc ad nauseum. I would like good local players playing here but there aren't any because there's no mechanism for them to play at the right level part time and then step up. Historically that's partly the clubs fault- I agree with that.
I watched West Lancs football at Holker when Barrow were away this year and if that's your Barrow team in the top league locally then you are tripping if you think any of them could get into Barrow's squad.
Too many disappointed lads who aren't quite good enough, who go back to play with their pals, and then they and their mates come on here and moan about how XYZ couldn't get a game. The last time we had a load of local players, about 2002? we were rubbish.

Dreadful stuff today until the last 10 mins or so.
No idea what was the thinking behind Boyes not starting. No idea what the thoughts are behind Rutherford always starting when he's the worst player in his position in the squad. No idea why Flynn is always starting, when I've yet to see him have an even half decent game. No idea why we're persevering with Hunter when nothing ever seems to happen off him and he's not exactly a tigerish tackler.
Bayliss is getting plenty wrong right now and he needs to sort it quickly. This is far from being a bad squad and no way is he getting the best out of them right now. Get Hessey back in the middle of the defence, get Pearson out to right back, get Skelton back in and get Rutherford the [SwearFilter] on the bench!
It seems to me that most people can see it except the manager. I'm not sure how much of it is stubbornness or how much of it is just him genuinely believing he's putting his best team out. Whatever the reasoning, it's a huge worry because anyone can make a mistake but only a fool makes the same mistake twice. I don't want to think of Bayliss as being a fool but I can't think of many other ways to describe a person who clearly isn't learning from their mistakes.

Looking ahead- we are on the countdown to losing influencial players like Almond and Anderson. We are almost at the mid point of the season and we really do need to start a run of wins going.
If we get beat by Guiseley then the season really could start to collapse around us as the team and fans will find it difficult to pick themselves up.
biggest game of the season Tuesday. Strength of character and belief needed all round.
