Having a special 5 day offer where season tickets are £161 (£7) a game, that will sell hundreds and hundreds more. Plus the floaters will buy them, so regardless if they come or not, that's £7 in the kitty. You could easily every week expect 1500+, and more for bigger games.

Just an idea, but it's been tried and tested at a few clubs.
Is there any way this could be put to club as really think this could take off and also would help people in ground spend more ie program's ect ect hope John Mackay looks on here and puts it forward :scarf:

But of course if they had got the young ones starting supporting the team 10 years ago then the board might not need to be worrying so much about the financial implications now.

Or even in 14 years it seems, seeing that's how long it is since the core of the current board came to power.

There didn't seem to be many kids there today to me unless I was looking in wrong places ? Still think we a trick today with age limit as real fans would of put money back into club. As I would :)

No good just saying it. Got to get into schools every single week and cajol;e them into coming, kids pressurising mims and dads, works every time. Tried it twice and it works, why stop a winning formula? Bizarre. :?

It was mentioned on RC yesterday with the comment that the club seemed to be TELLING people that they must support the club rather than asking and encouraging.

Should do School of the week. Simple but effective. Pupils will go with their mates and mums and dads. Start with where Skets has just been in.

Noticed a few lads and dads groups at the Tamworth game, typical snatches of conversation were along the lines of – ‘how did you get on this morning….’ So obviously the junior football, managers, helpers, parents and players are willing to come along with to HS/FBSS after their games to swell the numbers – so good news there.

Further snatches of conversation in the Wilkie Stand urinal ‘My God these toilets stink lets go somewhere else.’ Not so good news there then and maybe that urinal should be demolished in the close season and supporters advised to use the Crossbar where there are handwashing facilities and refreshments available. So junior football types could play in the morning and head to HS/FBSS for lunch and then watch the game. Reasonably cheap day out and the supporters of the future are engaged.

ENTICE folk to come don't TELL them.

Wintergreen, Cracking idea (RE) Junior football types, Invite 4 teams from say 2 fixtures, or 6/3, 8/4 what ever number they can handle........but you have to (( make it )) an enjoyable experience, don't just leave them to their own devices and hope they like it enough to come back, Provide the entertainment/interest to make it hard for them to NOT to want to come back.

IMHO This should be easy to do (Example) Provide "a to be paid for" lunch at a reasonable fee, (example) a local company delivers the pre-ordered bulk food at the right time, Have a dedicated room/s for them & have our greatest triumphs montage playing on a loop on a few big flat screen plasma's , give them a mini tour of the place (if time allows & obviously not interfering with game day preparations) have a player/guest talk to them in a question/answer session Proccy/Doc/Cowps/a.n.other also telling them of their Wembley/career experiences etc, Give out several scarfs, hats, mugs from not selling old souvenir stock, Parade of honour lap round the pitch at HT, Selected kid/s hand over the match awards after the game, Add other suggestions etc etc

Start with just 1 or 2 sides, build & expand the experience from the first few trial runs & create a buzz in the Junior Footy world where they all want their turn as guests.

Long term results would be a more BAFC aware/liking local community & gain more fans as a consequence, Win friends & Influence people, build bridges with the local footy scene...........win/win for BAFC & IT WOULD NOT COST MUCH MONEY to organize and run efficiently to begin with & would begin to pay for itself within time, Have a group of volunteers running it under the guidance of a BOD member.

Kids are impressional, cater for them, They would buzz off a tour, lap of honour, meeting and chatting to the Chairman & guests/players etc

Subliminal advertising as they watch our FA Cup / Trophy /Play-Off Triumphs

Invite Schools, Business's, Scout troops, Girl Guides, OAP clubs, whoever is a group .............end the days of reaching out to the same demographic (the fans) each and every time & help create NEW FANS spending new money at Holker St, Even if a small % came back on a semi regular basis it will have worked.

Rewards come from hard work, BE PROACTIVE.
At least Mad Russell can hold on to a lead easier than BAFC

I would like to disassociate myself from the toilets on the popular side. The stand side are my domain with a toilet roll in each cubicle too!!!!! :scarf: Soap dispensers in each one is my next mission---we are getting there people. Have faith.

Don't blame you!

It seems even the splash-it-around painters from the Prince's Trust won't go near them either! ;)

The comment a couple of winters ago about skating on the yellow ice in there traumatised for life. Perhaps close season it could be improved on. Is there any running water in there and I don't mean that which is provided by the visitors to this establishment?

If those making the comments had voted for Barrow in the toilet competition we might have had a new one by now.

That's the problem. They want to increase gates by telling you to come and NOT by selling the experience. They want maximum from it, but put noithing extra into it. What's the old saying, 'you get out, what you put in.'
