Must be some sort of record.
Are you suggesting Cox gets a percentage of every signing on fee or players' salary?

Controversial, but it would explain a lot.
+1 for the using of my post to throw wild (yet believable) accusations at "the best manager in the league".

Is it because 7th wasn't good enough ?

Liam Huge wanted to go, so did ARH, who can ever forgot that memorable moment of his agent flouncing around with his transfer request - beautiful.

Moore, Harrison and Yussef was a combination of high wages, lack of application and contract clauses that would have tied the management hands.

Well let's start with Harrison - part of his unrest was that he spent much of last season waiting for his cut of the signing on fee. Who's next? Harvey and Hughes wanted to move on because they're part of Cox's little pool linked to one management group and were guaranteed an easy ride elsewhere. Yussuff? He was on big enough money for Pennock to baulk at the prospect of extending his contract.
Why did Moore leave? Pennock had his keeper in mind, and moved him down the pecking order.

Why were they replaced by 'youth loans'? (a youth loan is a different thing, but you mean promising young players from teams higher up the pyramid).

Have any of them been replaced by youngsters?
Harrison - not replaced yet
Yussuff - Luke James (not a youth player)
Moore - Arnold (not a youth player)
Harvey - Kingsley James (not a youth player)
Hughes - Humphrey (not a youth player)

Now do us all a favour, and [SwearFilter] off back to fawning over the tedious Fylde project.

Cox left in august and Ogden signed all the players that were supposedly going to achieve a greater position than 7th and are now supposedly the worst players to ever pull on the shirt.
Plenty of players and staff have come and gone since then, its been a revolving door.

If we went down cox will be partly responsible, but there are others that are more responsible. People really need to get over Paul Cox.

I look forward to our 2025/26 season where our mid table mediocrity is put down to Paul cox signing moussa diarra.

5 full time wages replaced with 1 full time wage and 3 (cheaper option) loan players.

You've said one of those departed players was owed money for a large part of last season and has left recently because of it.

Theres a trelatively small squad of 17 availible this weekend with 4 loanees and a non contract player amongst them.

Exactly. The Paul Cox blamers need to get over themselves. Hes been gone now for 7 months, there has been plenty of time for change.

If ,as some suggest, Paul Cox is responsible for this seasons impending relegation , then by that logic Edmo was responsible for the Paul Cox led surge up the league after he was sacked. Both were in charge over preseason and assembled both squads.

Your original question was "If they were on ‘big money’ as you say then ,bar moore why have they all been replaced with youth loans?" and "Ask yourself why these players have left"

So you've answered your own question - 'someone' had signed them all up to big contracts, and none of them were worth the money we were giving them.
THAT is why they've had to be replaced on the cheap - 'someone' spent all the budget.

The players you've listed were shipped out because they weren't worth what we were paying, and a couple of them realised they could swindle even more out of Coxy and his latest 'destroy and exit' mission.

Colne Dynamoes ( White had money and sites set on league. Went out of existence 1990, but since re formed)

Rushden and Diamonds ( reached the league under Max Griggs money. Relegated, liquidated and since re formed)

Darlington. ( Bankrolled a new stadium and aiming for Championship. Relegated, liquidated and since re formed)

Must be others ??
Thanks Oldtimer - not only for a sensible response (unlike whitty1969 and his side kick paddy71)
but also for sticking to the question and the topic.

Hopefully, in the near future we won't have to read:
Barrow AFC: (Paul Casson set his sights on the FL but his big ambitions/promises were thwarted due to a even bigger cash flow problem which resulted in the club being relegated in 2018...)

Fingers crossed!

Kettering Town after Imraan Ladak era?.
Always liked Kettering and they backed us when League thought we would get relegated after the Vaughan debacle but we stayed up by the skin of our teeth and then they relegated us.
Also remember Workington saying we should be relegated two leagues lower so may live in Cumbria but still a Lancastrian at heart!
Really found that hard to forget from the marras up the coast.
+1

Some bans have been handed out for the above. Just [SwearFilter] grow up eh.

And don't forget Hartlepool. They were one of the clubs who voted us out of the Football League in '72.
Be nice to beat THEM at Holker Street and assist in sending them down!
