Very few posts make me laugh out loud.

Brilliant!

This signals to me that PH is stepping back from the day to day running of the club - which I understand he has a life and businesses of his own.
However it must be said that no CEO no matter how much of a top lad he is, is not - and shouldn’t be, immune from criticism, he is now in the fan firing line.
I don’t know the lad personally so I can only go off his actions as CEO, fortunately he still had PH and board behind him so he will most certainly be guided by them.
Like some of the other decisions that have been made, we have to trust that the current changes being made are indeed the right ones, only time will tell.

Paul Hornby doesn't run the club day to day

It doesn’t signal that at all
EFL rules stipulate the club has to have a CEO so they’ve appointed one

Fair one, not something I was aware of. Though I’d be curious to know what his actual mandate would be? A CEO in my mind is someone that is in charge of running a company on behalf of and answerable to, the owners. How much real power would he have ?

For those who don’t know who he is Levi regularly wrote articles about afc and trustwork in the evening mail which I found numerous and informative. He is a nice lad who commits a lot of time to afc and trust work which people do not always appreciate .I have attended a couple of trust meetings and it is an eye opener to the work involved by the committee. He is young but has experienced business men on the board who will help and advise him .The most difficult job he has is steering that line between confidentiality of afc board meetings and being friends with us commoners as there will always be people wanted to know things that at that time are not in public domain.i for one think it is good appointment bringing new young person in to this domain .The first of new local generation to steer the club.Levii is the future get behind him and board.

I don't really know much about him or the role ro judge If he will do a good job or not seems very intelligent and likeable and certainly loves Barrow AFC so that's a couple of boxes ticked, let's see how it goes.

I do think (may already be in place) he would benefit from having an experienced CEO as a mentor

The trust need to replace him.
I know who I would like. Do we get a vote?
Might even put myself up...

Exciting times ahead at the Bluebirds Trust. Hearing of at least five people seriously considering a bid. I look forward to hearing what they have to offer the membership over the coming weeks and months. :scarf:
