Actually I've been very pleasantly surprised by the persistency of our crowds this season. As for Fylde, many will secretly if not openly have a chuckle at Fyldes inability yet again to successfully get through a play-off - and also I believe at the hands of Paul Cox. But with Fylde, its always important to remember that there is no history of community support for the club. They are a little like Rushden & Diamonds were in that they are just an extension of their owners ego, in R&Ds case Max Griggs. When he pulled out of the club, it died and despite having an EFL standard ground at Nene Park which has since been demolished.
Despite Fylde's on field shortcomings, I very much doubt that Uncle Dave is losing money as he controls so many of the assets in and around the Mill Farm site. If Fylde disappeared tomorrow a lot of people would lose their jobs. But I doubt Mr Haythornthwaite would be massively affected.
