I think we’ve made some shrewd and decent signings so far. Don’t forget the PV lads are dropping down a division. They are exactly the types of player we needed to bring in after PW has had his year of learning in this league. Worrall has created plenty of opportunities/assists and Proctor is a handful. Both of these are things missing from last seasons team (Whitfield aside). If Proctor and whoever partners him can get on the end of more of the balls he and Worrall put in compared to Gordon etc…who despite his decent season wasn’t always in the right place for the balls Whitfield, Kay and Brough put in then I’m sure 15 goals isn’t beyond him if he stays fit. Get in a couple of decent defenders (McClelland on loan again maybe?) another more mobile central midfielder to replace Neal who might also chip in with 6 or 7 goals, maybe a more consistent replacement for Kay and have a fully fit Garner with a proper pre season behind him then we are looking ok IMHO.

Hopefully we can persuade McClelland to come back to.Barrow.He would a great asset again in defence.My only fear though is that he may be looking for a club higher up the food chain, even though he enjoyed his time at Barrow.

McLelland was apparently Barrow's highest paid player last season with the club paying half his wages.
Doubt he would even come to us this season for what we paid him.
He'll be looking for more.

McClelland is being targeted by championship, league one and SPL clubs. That ship will not be sailing back into port next season

Add in that Whitfield and Foley also played for Port Vale . Sounds like good business. In Wild and DOF we (must) trust .

We do need midfield players who can chip in with goals. That was our Achilles heel last season

no chance getting sam mc back , however wat about matty platt ? fallen right down the pecking order at bradford , sure he could do a decent job alongside canavan

Not much wrong with a back 3 of Canavan, Ray and Feely.
