Given we have 12 players out of contract at the end of the season and uncertainty of wether we will be in league one or two I wouldn’t be surprised if we lost one or two players in the upcoming window

Can’t see why players would want to leave a club pushing for promotion nor why a club pushing for promotion would let under contract players go.

Also, our training location is surely more desirable, presuming he lives in the Manchester area, being home quickly after work to be with family and kids is a big draw, rather than driving to Carlisle and back everyday. As said previously, you would think that money doesn’t come in to it and JC has said that now his kids are old enough to see him play that that is one of his drivers for still playing, surely he’d want them to see him in a winning team pushing for promotion rather than a losing team in a dog fight. Fingers crossed we get some new soon, what an Xmas present that would be!

If a player is out of contract at the end of the season and another club offers you the security of a 2 year deal you would be daft not to consider it if your present club has not shown any inclination that you would be offered a new deal come the end of the season.

If a player is out of contract at the end of the season and another club offers you the security of a 2 year deal you would be daft not to consider it if your present club has not shown any inclination that you would be offered a new deal come the end of the season.

It's a tricky one for the club given we are not sure what league we will be in. Many in the current squad couldn't cut it in EFL One.

Some players just play well for a certain team and he worked well for us. We’ve blasted some money on strikers and it hasn’t worked out, it would of been a safe option to have kept him on

Quigs was lured away for money but it ending up being a bad move.
Went to Rochdale now discovering his form again with East leigh
Do not think Andy Cook would not be a natural for our team but who would not have him
Quigs would give us a different option plus his goals were important when last here in our last season under Evatt and keeping us in league.
Think he would have been a bargain .

Evatt got a tune out of Quigs not many have. Oh and don't get me started on his heading ability it was beyond dreadful

That’s the best mantra to have. A group of great, hardworking lads, who are also good footballers will go a long way. No rotten apples in our squad, unlike Carlisle’s latest signing. Enough said.

I feel confident James Chester will sign. Training is in an ideal location for him for starters. Money will be good. Brilliant squad of lads. Guaranteed football. Somewhere warm natured, where he feels appreciated and wanted.

Get pen on paper James lad and make our Christmas!
