Where did he say he was sacked? It didn’t. Legalities will mean both parties have to be wise with there words. Mark my words he has another club lined up
Aye, think I agree

If all the management team apart from Pete Wild are staying on, what about Adam Temple for head coach?

If he has another club lined up he has obviously been talking to them without Barrows permission. That would surely be enough grounds to terminate his contract with no pay off.

Why sack him now though if it was a sacking? Surely we’re a good 2/3 weeks behind everyone now which in terms of recruitment is absolutely critical to a good or bad season

If I was Pete Wild, I would take until Christmas off .. loads of sackings around that time. In the meantime he can build up his knowledge of all the teams in L1 and L2 … he will get a good job.

I wish him well. Yes I think he made some mistakes but he’s young and I hope his next move goes well for him.

He loves doing podcasts etc so I hope he talks highly of his time at Barrow and hope he got a lot out of the experience.

It's may. Iain wood will have it in hand. That's his job.

Everyone saying what a great loyal man Pete is when all the time while contracted to the club was looking/talking to other clubs should be sacked on the spot if found to be true, nice man my arse.

Yeah, think you’re right, noticed 22nd May 2 years ago Halifax mentioned Wild had left the club, then it was only about a week later that he officially signed for us.

I don’t believe the board mandate was for promotion at the end of season 2 when he first came with a “5 year plan” promotion would have been a massive challenge, not one we wouldn’t have took on but it would have been a massive leap for the whole club.

My contact told me two weeks ago Wild has left the club. No mention of sacking. All I would say is he still had 3 years to go on his contract which we would have to pay up if we sacked him. If money is tight then why would we burden ourselves with that cost for a manager that has got us nearly in the playoffs two seasons running?

Yes. Terminology to minimise fallout to make out both sides were happy to terminate. Face saving for both parties. Reality is different
