Re: Wood Gone
No, because you're wrong. He has been our best manager since Evatt. Our moaning was about missing out on play-offs. Now we are non-league again because of the decision to back the wrong horse.

Who bottled it when the pressure was on did the same at Halifax!Bigfathoss wrote: ↑Mon May 04, 2026 8:22 pmNo, because you're wrong. He has been our best manager since Evatt. Our moaning was about missing out on play-offs. Now we are non-league again because of the decision to back the wrong horse.

Re: Wood Gone
Throughout Wilds managerial career Wilds teams never saw the season out Halifax and Barrow for example. Fleetwood got rid at end of January after a downturn in results so perhaps his history of finishing seasons poorly influenced that decision. He only just got Tranmere safe after overseeing a shocking run of results. There is a pattern to how his teams finish a season the words poorlyblue nige wrote: ↑Mon May 04, 2026 8:33 pmWho bottled it when the pressure was on did the same at Halifax!Bigfathoss wrote: ↑Mon May 04, 2026 8:22 pm

Adam Temple as well.
How the hell did he fool the Board for so long that they even asked him to join them?
Unbelievable!

Re: Wood Gone
Were you of the same opinion at Chelsea and we were top of league two after he had been here over two yeas?
Yes he had to go but there is no doubt in his first two seasons and a bit he was instrumental in improving the club. Relegation is a disaster but off the field the club is in a much better position than it was when we got promotion and much of the off field improvements were down to Wood.

Re: Wood Gone
It's a widely held opinion that Wood was central to Wild leaving. Which of the following managerial positions do you think will look good on his resume?Main Stand SeasonTct wrote: ↑Mon May 04, 2026 9:16 pmWere you of the same opinion at Chelsea and we were top of league two after he had been here over two yeas?

Clearly remember being told that Wood being cancer was a "conspiracy theory", on here, only a matter of weeks ago.

He didn't say anything, as such, just the 'clapping hands' emoji.

Re: Wood Gone
Does anyone really think that Carlisle actually showed any interest in him?
