Glenn Murray wasn’t on loan - he was here on non contract terms before Carlisle came in and gave him a a full time contractCokey wrote: ↑Sun May 10, 2026 9:17 pmWe need to get good loan players in too next season. Very good point. Rochdale keeper on loan from City been excellent for them all season
Last season’s loan players were absolutely terrible. Josh Gordon, the pick of the bunch, but even he was 4th or 5th choice striker for a team in the same division!
I lost count of the number of opposition sides, who had Premiership or Championship players in on loan, who were real danger men, and made a huge difference in games against us.
Recruitment and contacts really is everything. Especially when you don’t have an unlimited amount of money, so we have to be smart with our signings.

Wow I didn't know that! I can picture him sat in the Cross Bar with his parents, and he was wearing a Carlisle United tracksuit! Probably why I thought he was on loan.Adam29 wrote: ↑Tue May 12, 2026 6:49 amGlenn Murray wasn’t on loan - he was here on non contract terms before Carlisle came in and gave him a a full time contractCokey wrote: ↑Sun May 10, 2026 9:17 pm

Remember him signing from Leeds with Jordan Stevens.
Their careers have taken a much different path since then!
