In many ways he's also similar to Ian Evatt - they've both got that smug annoying (for opposition fans) confidence that comes from knowing they've managed to do the hardest job in football - get a team promoted out of the National League....
That's what we need. When can he start?

Didn't he have a scrap with Bayliss after one of the games with Kettering years back? Same game as when Gregg Blundell got pushed into the HSE perimeter wall and cracked his head I think. I was stood right next to it, never seen so much crimson.

No it isn’t, don’t want anyone like that in a Barrow shirt.

James Vaughan was a proper shithouse for Tranmere in the game over Christmas but I would have had him in our side every day of the week.

Disagree Desmond - I think that’s exactly what we need.

I also think we need a gaffer that knows we need to make holker street a fortress that can only be achieved with hostility. And we as barrow fans definitely play apart in our success on the pitch if we could get a manager to match that passion and grit ala bayls and Sheridan then I think we’re on the right track.

I feel the need for a "who do you want as manager poll"!
I'd do it but don't know how.

I’m not a fan as has been well documented - by me ha ha.

He offered to fight me in the car park after a game way back when.
Was it after the abandoned game against Kettering in 2008? He had ago at me as well.

Time for a charity rematch. On the pitch at half-time. Will 10 mins be enough?

Cooper or Hill, well both experienced at this level but to Hill it will just be another job but Cooper has something to prove after getting the sack from FGEvatt had something to prove when he was here because if it didn’t work out then he had no where to go,while Dunn didn’t have to prove himself as an ex premier league player so we want a hungry manager and Cooper has taken a team into league two and established themselves which is what we want and been around the play offs so he ticks lots of boxes and would match the board’s ambition

The defection of Micky Mellon from Dundee Utd has thrown a spanner into the whole managerial carousel. Challinor wqs favourite for the Tranmere gig but there is a groundswell of Prenton Park fans who would love MM back.If he was to return Challinor would be back in the mix for the plethora of jobs going at the moment.Having said that I wouldn't say no to Mellon at HS. After all Evatt was a dark horse not on the radar. A repeat would do for me.
