I never suggested for one minute anything like that, what I’m saying is you ask questions and when you get answers (which someone always tries to do for you) you obviously don’t like what you hear. So why bother with this thread?

Back to the important, positive stuff.

The NSC who have funded several of our bigger projects over the years (the home changing room/the physio room being just two) have very very kindly offered to fund the complete refurbishment of the press box and match day control room.
The really generous amount on offer will allow us to do a professional job in there without touching our own funds - which in turn will continue to be spent on the general maintenance of the ground.
The work won’t start until the season ends but we’ll do “before, ongoing and after” pictures to show the progress.

If anyone would like to become a member of the NSC (very reasonably priced too) I’ll be happy to pass their contact details on.

A huge thank you to David Brown (yesterday’s Russ’s raffle winner) for making a very generous donation to the maintenance kitty.
We have lots of jobs lined up for the coming months so donations such as this are a massive help to us, it simply wouldn’t be possible to do half of what we do without your generosity.

Also another thank you to Lisa & David Ayres who got in touch and dropped a large box of assorted tools off for us. (No good to Dave as he wouldn’t know how to use them anyway )

A couple from earlier today, one a before and one an after of the continuing work in the fanzone - which will hopefully be completed by the time it’s allowed to open.

Not quite finished but the cladding on the reverse side of the steelworks end wall. For those who paid for the HSE plaques five or six years ago this is where they’ll go on display.
Always looking for a chance throw a few quid in the kitty... I think it would be possible to add a couple more plaques if you’re interested.

The blocks, cement and sand have been delivered that will be used to raise the wall by the press box to meet fire regs.

First proper visit back today but with reduced numbers for obvious reasons.
Some faulty lighting was fixed, the flags have been better secured and the ground completely picked of litter.
Many thanks to Elaine who as always looked after us all with brews and biscuits. Elaine also had a very kind donation to the GMA kitty. Another donation was off Al (a man who will have honestly put in 100s of hours last season) for the loan of one of our electric tools.
