Several weeks ago the Chairman said on RC they were planning something ‘special’ for the ground, was this ‘special’ thing ever revealed or is it the AstroTurf installation l wonder?

You're easily put off.
The person in charge of the painting department had never done a manual days work in his life but has now learned new skills he never thought possible.
It's a standing joke how he resembles a Smurf in his paint spattered clothing but he is undaunted.
Give it a go Al, you might surprise yourself and enjoy it.

Should try and get zest in to power hose the stands they do a great job. Then with the money paid for the services which may I say is incredibly cheap! They re invest it into the town , conducting community cleans off open spaces such as park , war memorials , school play grounds they really are a fantastic mob as can be seen on facebook. Would also get our 3 covered stands looking clean and sharp for the next season!

A couple of the away directors rooms which are now getting their final coats. That’s been a huge job in there for a mixture of Sat/Sun volunteers, retirees and semi retirees.
New lighting, painted and new carpets shortly, it’ll make a massive difference to what was there previously.

As you might’ve seen lately we’ve been splitting the days we work in here as we were just getting in each other’s way, and to be honest it’s worked perfectly and the press box has really come along very nicely.

The outside was getting a bit of attention and will soon be painted after the prep work is finished.
The inside….I’m amazed at how good this is starting to look now, new LED strip lights, the spotlights are now powered up, all sockets and switches now in the places they should’ve been, worktops going in and onto the third quarter of the ceiling next week.

We’d like to thank Tony Shearer who this week gave us a substantial donation for the maintenance kitty, as he has done for the last few years now.
We have been really fortunate with donations (many off the Trusts raffle winners), DDs, our new sponsor, the National Supporters Club and things like cash for plaques as once again it’s been a costly summer.

The two big projects are unfortunately not ones most supporters will see but hopefully the people who use them will see and feel the difference that had been made over the summer.
