It needs to go down now the walls should off just been down around the boards so you did not have to take them all down and would not off took as long and you would not have had to pay for as much paint

We did it that way years ago Andy and it’s not easier, and when a board has to come down or move you have the old paint left behind.

The question should of been asked a month ago.
Not last week.....Its called planning.
Something we seem to be very short of at the moment.

To be fair to them, it must be hard to plan what can be done when you dont have a fixed budget but one that relies on donations and contributions. Limited helpers and several big essential projects going on. In an ideal world I'm sure this would have been picked up sooner, but a late decision to install the astro turf etc probably never helped. I'm sure like everything else it will get done...

Nothing wrong with whitty1969's opinion. Forward planning can save time and money.

With only a couple of weeks to till our first friendly both our main summer projects (the press box & away directors rooms) are coming along quite nicely now, they probably won’t be entirely finished for the Bolton game but they’ll be usable, especially the press box. The ADRs will still need work doing by the club after we finish such as carpeting and kitting out so they’ll have a better idea of a proper finishing date for that.

So the “extra” job we have been asked to do are the pitch perimeter walls. Once again we will be having two visits this weekend, Saturday & Sunday mornings. Both will be the normal start times but on Saturday we’ll be finishing slightly earlier because of the HOBs game in the afternoon. I also don’t think there’ll be refreshments on offer, especially on Saturday although there will be bottled water and possibly hot drinks brought out.
If you feel like you could help us with any of them jobs, or the many others that are needed, can you please let us know either in here, e-mails or texts. Thanks.
We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.

Two visits to the ground again this weekend (not including the retirees during the week). It’s a very good forecast and that’ll mean we can get started on the pop side wall. It’s an easy - but time consuming job so if anyone could spare a few hours either Sat or Sun can you let us know ASAP please.
At the moment it’s looking likely we’ll have to knock Saturday morning on the head, so that’s the day we could really do with some assistance on.

For anyone who was turning up on Saturday we’ve decided to cancel that one as for some reason Sunday seems to be the more popular choice.

So it’s looking like a decent turn-out for Sunday morning and getting a good start on the pop side wall. If Sunday suits you we’ll be opening up from 8:30am.

You don’t need a card….or cash.

I hope I have enough cups if there's a big turn out.🙄

The away directors rooms are pretty much finished (from our point of view) Doors will have to be re-hung and furniture bought but painting and lighting-wise we’ve managed to do what we promised.
I’ll try at some point to dig out the “before’s” but what a difference with the new fresher colours, lighting & carpets have made.
