The re-furbished match day control room has had all its major work done and over the coming weeks we’ll complete the finishing touches.

Just look at this for being spoilt, Marion out does herself each week….home made sausage rolls, meat and potato pies and this week she brought her own cooking hob’s and made us bacon buns, all done on the HS terraces….just amazing.
Elaine once again making the brews and even bringing water around to us later in the morning…this really isn’t work!

The pop side walls being painted in the “new” blue to match the new roof colours. We could’ve done with a few more pairs of hands on this as it’s our “next big job” really…and it’s a big one.

Cracking morning down there today, decent numbers although we could’ve done with a few more on the painting side of things.

Here’s the press box with all the big jobs finally out of the way, it’s now the finishing touches to tidy everything up. Darren Herbert came down this morning to makes sure everything from his side of things was working right before the game next week - and he did tell us it’s a big improvement on what they had so hopefully the NSC see this as money well spent.
I’ll try and find some “before’s” and post them so you can see the difference the NSCs money and the time we’ve spent in there has made.

If anyone can move their arm up and down approximately 12-14 inches with a brush in your hand on Sunday morning….there’s a job for you at the ground.
There’s a LOT of painting to crack on with now we’ve finished the away directors rooms….this was a late ask by the club but we said we’d do what we can but any extra bodies would make a huge difference, even if it’s only a one-off.

If anyone could spare a few hours on Sunday morning to help with either painting - or at the moment the more important job of putting the advertising boards back up on the pop side pitch perimeter wall it’d be greatly appreciated.
We have a plan off the club of the placing of the boards so it’ll just be a case of measuring, spacing and levelling before securing with the masonry fixing screws we use.
This is obviously very important to the club but at the moment most of the regulars will be tied up finishing the press box, which was our main project over the summer.

Had a quick look inside the ground this morning whilst visiting the shop. The ground and the pitch look great, first time I’ve been for 8 months. That colour of blue right round the ground now looks miles better. Great work all

No wind up here but something needs to be done on the raised concrete platform where I think the food hut is meant to be on the Holker Street end as you move from The Ray Wilkie. Seen 3 lads 2 off which where old fellas hit the deck not realising there is a raised step. Could barriers be put up around it maybe?

Certainly not ideal, but hopefully stop anymore incidents untill the new food hut comes.
