Some extra outdoor lighting going up around the fanzone for the evening and winter games.

A few finishing touches going on in and around the press box.
The first one is of plastic trims being fit to tidy up the exposed edges.
Second one….no idea what he was doing but the ladder is upside down and back to front, honestly? Not really surprising though as he was caught using a battery drill in reverse an hour earlier.
Third one is one of the new atmosphere mic cut outs that Adam and other radio commentators use.

Walls were also scraped down ready for painting and the ground completely litter picked…even after all these years we still can’t get our heads around why people can’t use bins, it’s a massive job for the lads who clean up on Sundays and Wednesdays.

And the painters carried on regardless. Even the rain didn't put them off. Hardy souls.
Marian Else continues to provide the food on offer. It's becoming like a banquet.
It was a lucky day for us when her and Mike happened to be out for a walk one Sunday morning and asked what was going on. Joined the group and are hard workers.
Mike has provided more photographs of his dad to go on the walls of the Fred Else hospitality room, having framed them himself. Photographs we probably wouldn't have had access to and adds interest to the room.
A good mornings work by all.

A few from today’s visit.

The worlds best litter picker making use of his new recycling skip. It’s only been there two games and it’s already full, that lot would’ve gone to landfill without Peter sorting through all the bins. Between himself and two or three others they save the club a fortune.

We also started painting the next part of the pitch perimeter wall and the turnstiles on the pop side/garage corner. Quite a time consuming job as we have to take all the advertising boards down first.

A before and after of that little untidy area by the decking in the fanzone, thanks to Gareth for helping with the bucket on his tractor….we’d have still been there if we’d have had to use the wheelbarrows.

Whilst this was going on Nick and Chris carried on with the finishing touches in the press box and putting up the new outdoor socket on its exterior.

Once again, many thanks to Marion for the corned beef hash pies and sandwiches, and for stepping into Elaine’s shoes this week and making the brews.

We will be having another visit to the ground this coming Sunday and as things stand we have enough pairs of hands to carry on with the jobs we already have on the go - such as the press box and various other small projects, but the one we are struggling with is having enough people to help paint the pitch perimeter wall before we start to lose the weather. If you could spare a few hours on Sunday it would massively help us, and the club to get it out of the way.

If you can make it could you either reply or PM on here or use any other contact details you have for any one of us.

One more ground visit tomorrow before we start to take things a bit easier, which will mean trying to tie in the visits with the day after each home game.

Unfortunately we will definitely be missing all the lads who do the litter picking tomorrow, that’s going to be a big problem with having the game on Friday. If you could possibly give up a few hours of your Sunday morning it’d be a huge help, not to us because there is nothing we can do about it, but to the club as if there is no one to do this tomorrow the FT staff will walk into how it was left last night….which will be a mess.

Another job that we can never have enough volunteers for us painting various parts of the ground, last week we managed to do the left hand side of the HSE and start creeping towards the main stand.

Are there any litter grabber implements at the ground Ian? I have two I can bring down and some disposable gloves as well.
I would go today if there is anyone at the ground or is it closed?

Well unless you know something I don’t Elaine, it won’t be cleared because there is absolutely no one to do it.

We can only do so much and we have jobs already on the go - so there really is a danger of all the rubbish being left.

9:00am onwards for anyone who can help.

You can make your own brews and I will do it. Won't be the first time. I will stay behind until it is done.
