As a hint that is as subtle as a house brick.

I would like to see it flying everyday actually. Really announce our presence and status in the community.
We will foller the soccer, over land and sea...

I think it will be more noticeable only on match days. What is always there becomes unnoticeable.

Similar to the Royal Standard flying at Buck House or other locations when the monarch is in residence.

That's the idea. It was never a problem in the past and I am.sure in the years 2023/ 2024 it won't be either.

You need to take it in at sundown and run it up again at first light. Think of the exercise HB!Holkerbird wrote: ↑Wed Sep 20, 2023 11:46 amAre you willing to pay for a frequent replacement.?Wintergreen wrote: ↑Wed Sep 20, 2023 11:05 am I would like to see it flying everyday actually. Another big thank, this time to Dean who has very kindly donated £100 to the flag fund.
As I said yesterday we’ve actually smashed what was needed in just under three days - which I told Dean but he has very kindly told me to put his donation into the GMV kitty.
Flag fund or GMV kitty, it all gets put to good use - either in areas to improve things for supporters or help the club directly.
Thanks to all who have donated, it’s always very satisfying when supporters help us out like this.
Hopefully the flag will be on display for our next home game.

We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.

Let’s not be forgetting that there is a rather inventive and tasteful banner (Tifo) planned for the Morecambe game and now the Flag fund has more than met expectations. I’m sure any donations to the Tifo fund would be greatly appreciated. It’s been some time since we have had a splash of colour provided by our home supporters and it should help set the tone and help with the atmosphere on what should a special night if funding is met.

But that takes away the funds raised for the GMV & their vital maintenance & upgrades which imho far more important

No it doesn’t there was a request on this thread to donate to purchase a flag to fly on the now in situ flagpole. Ian said they had more than met the target to purchase said flag. Nothing to do with raising funds for the GMV unless you know different.mickmike wilson wrote: ↑Thu Sep 21, 2023 3:06 pm But that takes away the funds raised for the GMV & their vital maintenance & upgrades which imho far more important
I was just reminding supporters there is a fund for a banner (Tifo) that supporters are trying to purchase for the Morecambe game and if there was anyone that was wanting to donate to the flag then they could instead if they wanted to donate to help purchase the Tifo.
Hope you now understand Mike.

When we’d raised enough for the two flags I told people that the target had been met and thanked them, several (actually - all) said just throw their donation into the GMV kitty. That’s possibly what Mike is talking about.
Anyway, it’s probably best pushing the donations for the banner on its own thread Mark otherwise it’ll just get lost in GMV stuff.
