Wholeheartedly agree with the last 2 posts from Dave P and Wintergreen.
The board do not seem to realise that the more tinpot they are off the pitch this will mean less income for the squad on the pitch and we'll get to the point where income will drop that much we'll eventually be relegated yet they don't seem to realise this? I get the impression that this is what the directors may secretly want?
There's been numerous offers for people helping out yet the board don't want to accept or organise them becuase of their seeming wish to be in control and not let anyone else near to provide help that is urgently needed, in case they get too close to what's happening? it doesn't need to be like this, it feels like we are a slowly sinking ship at present.

The club/board need to be a bit more transparent and start letting people who love the club do a bit more. Nobody is asking for anything in return but just want to help where possible. There's a lot of Barrow supporters out there with some exceptional skills which the club could use. Stop being a closed shop and let us try and help too wherever possible.

It seems to me that there are three distinct areas of the club, the finances run by BOD, the football side run by DB and the club run by "who?"
I can't see any reason why we (the members club) can't set up a "club committee/organisation" whose job is to look after and organise club matters such as can be done by the volunteers. There should be no need for any of these areas to tread on each others toes other than in the matter of finance and so each should be able to get on with their roles fairly independently.
We wouldn't ask the football manager to organise sweeping the terraces or cutting the grass or any other jobs around the ground and neither would we ask the BOD to.
Its time to set up a new group within this members club of ours one which deosn't take power from anyone but taps in to the membership and galvanises all that the members can do to be the envy of other clubs and once again become a true members club where we sort ourselves out.
The town was built with our own hands lets start to use them again but this time to create as much as we can at our club. Lets ask some of the younger lads with IT skills to come up with marketing ideas to put to the BOD ask them what they think would be of any interest to the younger generation lets try to drag the club into this century so that we not only use the skills we have but help to provide a solid base for the fans of the future.
To the BOD we don't want to interfere you do a fine job in exceptionally difficult circumstances BUT we want to help, please don't continue to ignore what the fans could provide given the chance.

I am still a member and would give some of my time in such a case. I have been a Committee member for 25 years to my local club. What is needed is a large number of members to get an immediate grip. I have groaned and moaned about the "cleanliness" of the pop side toilets for many a season. Only takes some bleach and bit of graft to sort it.
I can be Emailed on this. :flag:

It is the same old story every season, why can other clubs (and I don't mean just the professional ones) have replica shirts out during pre-season and we can't even have them ready for the opening game of the new season. It should be agreed in principal that whoever sponsors the shirt (Coral) should have the rights to have the name on the shirt until the last game of the season and then with some pro-activeness the new shirts could go on sale at a fun day or first pre-season game to generate revenue in the off season.
There would be more interest in buying the new shirt earlier rather than later when other costings for supporters (ie coach travel to away games, admission prices etc) will take its toll during the season. I will be honest and admit I didn't buy one last season due to the delay.
Also I think Colty asked the question about shirts in baby sizes or even bibs etc so the young ones can be kitted out, but nothing ever materialised, but I understand Martin was at the helm then and was most probably pre-occupied with more important factors on personal level.

Did anyone actually pay to go on a walk or to the games night?
