As expected Gary. I am fed up of people, big brave warriors hiding behind screen names, stirring up shit and starting ill feeling on forums.Wintergreen wrote:Hi I’m Gary Lynch, I’m 56½, I live in Barrow and was on the pitch after we clinched promotion to Div 3 back in 1967.
I’m also known as Wintergreen and of course resident arts connosser E.J. Wintergreen 56½. The original poster forced me 'out' before on here some time ago as he has a problem with usernames which he thinks people ‘hide’ behind. I only adopted a username to fit in when I first discovered the Unofficial Forum.
That same night after I was forced ‘out’ a Director of the club contacted me at home and we had a bit of a heated discussion regarding some comments I had posted. The incident and subsequent fallout was well documented at that time. So maybe the original poster has been asked to force someone else’s details out so that they too can get a call from a Director regarding comments made on here.
I can vouch for that, tried to kiss me on the lips at midnight on NYE.burnzio wrote:My name's Matt Burns and I'm a raging homosexual.
Oh, Mike, no.Mike Croasdell wrote:Mike Croasdell, Was 1958 pies on the old thread. Supporter since 1958. Was really upset by an over zealous steward last season and so don't attend many games nowadays.
Fully agree with this. It's one thing if a person is posting inflammatory, argumentative and personal comments but for those of us that stick to vanilla on the fence middle of the road observations then surely anonymity is a right and an expectation?Kieran wrote:Don't think its fair to be naming people without their consent to be honest, its not what people sign up for when they join the forum.
People posting under user names rather than real names is part and parcel of football forums, not everyone wants to post under their real names. If people are happy to name themselves fair enough, but I think its dodgy ground when you start naming others who may not want naming.
A "Coon-ass" is a slang word for Cajun I think just incase anyone takes it the wrong way,or the FA read this.Fartvs Antiqvvs wrote:Gordon Jones.
Born Gleaston, ex-Draffy Vickers, supporter of B.A.F.C. 50s and 60s. With decline of ship-building, sought pastures new with a cracking education at both Holker Count Secondary Modern School and the Tech. Job took me to down south (Louisiana) USA, where I became an honorary 'Coon-ass', Europe, Far east, Middle east and finally to the Cotswolds in retirement, where I now get ribbed about being on your forum whilst supporting my, within walking distance, FGR club.
At 76 years, my user name is a pseudo play on the Latin for 'Old Fart'. The Avatar represents my age and also my Northern roots ... hence the flat cap and pipe.
Correct JC! It's a description the true Cajuns are proud of but other States use as a kind of north/south derisory divide. Bit like 'you lot' v 'our lot' here but PC is a wee bit less tolerated in the US than it is here. At least it was then.JimmyCrabstick wrote:

I thought I hadn't spotted you much recently.Mike Croasdell wrote:Mike Croasdell, Was 1958 pies on the old thread. Supporter since 1958. Was really upset by an over zealous steward last season and so don't attend many games nowadays.
