I don't belieeeeeeeve it!

I think its all to do with debt. the line given out is that a creditor may discuss outstanding bills etc with someone who they perceive to be part of the club

So, next time I go into one of the shops of a chain that is not doing to well, I'll ask the person behind the counter what the prospects are of the company surviving? I'm sure they'll know.DaveP wrote:I think its all to do with debt. the line given out is that a creditor may discuss outstanding bills etc with someone who they perceive to be part of the club
Seriously, there is no reason that anyone working in the shop for a couple of hours should have - or be expected to have - any knowledge of the club's affairs other than the availability and price of items on sale in the shop. Other clubs - probably equally impoverish - seem to manage with casual help in their shops; why can't we?

John its not my view its the one the BOD parade out from time to time. I think its more what the creditor might let slip to the person behind the counter rather than what the person behind the counter might know eg disgruntled creditor comes in looking for one of the BOD and can't find anyone then vents his anger by slagging the club off which "owes him thousands etc " and word then inevitably gets around.Steelworks End wrote:So, next time I go into one of the shops of a chain that is not doing to well, I'll ask the person behind the counter what the prospects are of the company surviving? Not saying I agree with it just the line they adopt.
Of course the club should let the volunteers man the shop etc its lunacy and commercial suicide not to use the resources available

Re: Update on Ticketing and shirts from the club
Just been looking at the 'Barrow AFC official online store' on the official website, still no sign of this season's shirts to buy? There is only last season's shirts available. Why is that? Most clubs have had their new replica shirts available to buy for a month now.
This is probably only a small issue at the club at the moment compared to the bigger picture, but it is highly frustrating.
First it was Vandanel's fault, then it was Puma, now it's the embroidery company. It amazes me how other clubs get their shirts available for sale weeks and weeks before the season starts (using these same companies who 'let us down'), yet we can't even get ours available for sale before the season starts.Si_Nichols wrote:The answer I have had (from someone else who has asked) is that the embroidery company who are adding the badges to the shirts have had problems with their machines and there is no indication when they will now be ready.

That was the excuse as to why they arn't ready that I was given!
There is always an excuse with the club with regards shirts and it's never the truth of ' we are shite at the commercial side of the club and we [SwearFilter] up yet again cause we didn't get something put in place soon enough and now cause we [SwearFilter] about so much the shirts are late . THIS IS OUR FAULT , NOT THE PRINTERS, THE DELIVERY MEN, THE EMBROIDERS, THE SUPPLIERS, OR JURGEN KLINNSMAN ITS US! "
