I think todays result has given everyone a much needed lift!! Looking forward to the next round (as I will be able to make it wherever). I Could hear our fans singing throughout and theirs moaning at the ref (hey that's our job). now lets kick on!!

No bloody nose today I hope
Ha ha, everything went like a dream today, all my buses and trains worked out and got back home intact. I knew something was in the gods today from the start.

Very happy indeed, maybe we should play all the cup ties away from home ;)

Totally different approach from the team today ,didn't let their heads drop when conceding that early goal and deserved the win for their honest hard graft.
Not out of the woods yet but do hope this will boost their confidence and they can get some consistency which we lack.
Two great goals from Marcus Carver do hope we can keep him.
Great day out ,excellent support and a very happy set of players let it continue :scarf:

I think every person what attended today from Barrow will be hoarse with all the singing at the match. Great effort and must have lifted the team.

I thought we were poor until we scored tbh which was a rebound. They weren't much better which says a lot about them.

Good win.

Hope Meechan doesn't get the job

Days like today make it all worthwhile. The last season and a half have been tough watching. There ended up being 25-30 of us in a couple of pubs in Chester beforehand, a mixture of those who had come down from Barrow on the train and us southern exiles. We had several discussions how it was really only the company and the banter that was keeping us going and I don't think any of us expected anything out of today.

When we went one down early doors I feared the worst and for the first 15-20 we were easily second best but we came into it more and more. Rushton and Carver worked hard all day but neither side had many chances. When we got ours, for once we were clinical. Difficult to pick individuals out today as they all put in a shift but special mention to McMillan for his double save and Burns for a fabulous clearing header as we dug in towards the end.

Great day and a happy bunch we were on the train home. Our support was fantastic and the scenes at the end were great - the first time I have felt like that this season. Last season these days were few and far between - Dartford and Braintree away plus last minute antics at Hyde spring to mind but when these games come around you need to treasure the memories.

Onwards and upwards hopefully. Lets get a new manager in pronto, a decent draw on Monday and build on this. I had a pint in one of the pubs pre-game called "Cheshire Cat" and I have been grinning like one for over 5 hours now :)

What a day out! Two decent boozers full of Barrow fans before the game, top effort from the lads on the field, and a mass celebration after the final whistle.

It's what Saturday afternoons are all about!

Team were decent second half, bit of craft and grit.

I must be honest and say in the last couple of years that's the best the support have been, everyone, young, old and in between. I think we affected it today for the good.

the support today was amazing and the fans were definately the 12th man - we were appreciated too by the whole team coming over at the end.

one of the best days out supporting Barrow for a while.

someone localish away or someone easy at home in the next round please.

Chorley away would be a difficult game but would be a top day out..

Sadly, Carver's Twitter post seemed to be his farewell. Understand Russ Dodd said in commentary that two or three other clubs are interested in him.

Let's hope it is not the case.

Charlie if its Chorley your welcome to my gaff which is over the road. I watched Chorley today and they are very very good. Had a good chat with Jonathan Smith about Barrow and he confirmed it would be amazing to have Barrow come to Chorley, Flitcroft and Jansen agreed too. he also said Lee Turnbull was a [SwearFilter].
