I think he meant it was a fantastic win ;)

Though we were the better side first half but failed to cash in and never managed to test their keeper with a shot on target. Second half they decided they were going to upset any flow in the game and again we were stifled and didn't look like we had any answers.

Their goal came out of nothing really with McMillan making a good save minutes earlier but looked at fault for the goal. Anderton put a great cross at pace and Cooky's goal was a superb finish. Our luck seemed to change with Shezza getting that peach of a free kick. Hopefully that's the corner turned and we can pick up a bit of momentum going into the next few months.

Wouldn't worry too much about the low attendance a lot of people will be spent up after the festivities and still a fortnight for some before payday. :scarf: :scarf:

walker and cook missed two easy chances first half, second half was just a non event, why ledsham was put on the left wing defies logic,we still play early diagonal balls into the box when we put a decent cross in hey we score it`s not rocket science!

if we want to get promotion we need to spend some money and bring a striker in walker and cook need a break we have no one on the bench so they cannot be replaced, this situation is absolutely pathetic ,the board and edmo need to sort this out!

Certain individuals dug us out of a poor performance in front of a low, resolutely post Christmas crowd.

I thought Cooky worked very hard and deserved his goal and the young lad Anderton on the left was excellent. No wonder they combined for the equaliser. Shez scored a peach but shouldn't have got man of the match, him and Paddy both struggled. Grandy didn't do a lot wrong. Jason Walker isn't right just now.

We have 800-900 full time fans. The other 600 come and go as they please. The other 200 come along when there is a buzz. The buzz has well and truly died over the last month. People are skint after Christmas and the 800 faithful turned up in the freezing cold to see us win ugly. Better that than lose ugly.

Now come on lads play some football.

Gorman Lacey and Ellison truly awful.... Edmo said post match that his phone has been red hot with agents offering him players.... 2 weeks and we've got one player in... Either he's waiting for the big name players or he doesn't
Know how to use a cheque book.. Young left
Back was outstanding.... And cooky terrorises them in the first
Half

Thing is Barrowabc we were very lucky to win tonight, we were absolutely awful and that type of performance, depleted squad or fully fit, is not acceptable.
everyone is entitled to their opinion, deal with it

I'll take the 3pts no matter how they come, but certain aspects are confusing and worrying.

I'm guessing Ledshaw was perhaps feeling the effect from his 90min v Hyde? Why else would he have not started. I'd like to see him in where Lacey plays, to say he had one of his poorer games is probably an understatement. Ledhsaw's break and pass to Anderton set up the goal, he needs to be given that role in there. PL doesn't even seem to be doing the enforcer role anymore (if he ever did) and looks a yard off the pace.

We could and probably should have been 2 up at HT, but again are wasting great chances. A wonderful free kick to win it - we have issues, but are still in the mix, hopefully we can build our confidence from the win, but think Edmo needs to really think about his best team.

Big E will you please start calling him Ledsham... It's not Ledshaw...
Steve Herbert supports the nob theory - Saturday 4th February 2012.

If this bus crashed and everybody on it died, Barrow football would end - Daz Boyle, Boston away, August 9th 2014.

Feeling the effects? It was about 8 days in between the two games

Apologies, it was 1am.... ;)

Only guessing, unless he had a knock and wasn't 100%.. can't think of another reason why he wasn't starting ........

Well that was possibly the worst display i've seen in years, the only good points was the young left back and Cooky, who worked his socks off as usual. Dodgy keeper at the moment ( 2 identical howlers in last 2 home games ), no midfield ( again !!!! ) & absolutely devoid of any attacking ideas, their keeper didn't have a save to make all night. Body language was all wrong as far as I could see, appeared to be a distinct lack of effort, unless I'm very much mistaken. Don't get me started on Lacey, absolutely P*** poor, how the hell he gets a start in front of Ledsham is beyond me. I can only hope that for Edmos sake is that Ledsham was injured or something, but if that's the case then why was he on the bench ??
Didn't deserve anything from the game and on present showing, we need about half a dozen new players, cos the ones on show tonight ( bar a handful ) didn't seem interested through whatever reason. If we keep performing like that, it'll be mid a table finish and that's not acceptable.

But hey, everybody's happy, it's 3 points !!!!
