Re: Andy Burns
When I read it this morning it just reinforced what people on here have been saying about him. No fall-outs or slating this, that or the other just a nice honest accepting of the situation, thanked people and is moving on.
Great lad, one of those you genuinely would've liked it to work out for at the club.

We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.
Re: Andy Burns
Do you think he's gutted? Said so about 10 times in that interview.
Seriously though he's right in that football is a cruel game, and nothing illustrates it more than him being released. I genuinely believe him when he says he'd have stayed here as long as possible, don't think he'd have ever left of his own accord. I'm glad he realises just how much he gave over his two years, he should have absolutely no regrets at all about his time at the club coming to an end as he could've done nothing more.
I'd have liked to have kept him and given him the chance to develop with us, but that might just be me being sentimental having just read that interview.
He deserves to find a decent club though and as I said further up this thread, I really hope he goes on to prove that we were wrong to let him go.

Re: Andy Burns
Decent interview with Andy. He obviously cares for the club, and no-one can ever question the effort and commitment he put in during his stay here. He can leave with his head held high, and a league winners medal in his hand.
Good luck, Andy, in your footballing career.

Andy Burns is a very nice feller. Went to Holkerbirds to tell her. That he was going. Without ever knowing. That he could've got locked in her cellar

He is a couple of years too old for Elaine's cellar. They get let out for good behaviour on their 21st birthday
