Just reading the bit about Gary Stevens, he is my cousin, that's right he is a physio now in Australia and was a cracking player, my uncle Ron (Gary's dad) played and his brother, my grandad Barry Stevens played for Barrow in the 70's as well x.

Re Gordon Brown, another character. I remember one time when he was booked and he took the pen and book from the ref to write his name in.

You are not wrong Dixie. He had a few opportunities but chose to stay local. If it was today, he would be a premiership keeper worth millions.
