I really don't think they know the answer to the questions they get asked so they say nothing or ask people to e-mail in - knowing the e-mail isn't likely to be seen or answered

its a real shame because social media is, like others have said is free advertising. Having said that it's far better than it was a couple of years ago (not that this is an excuse for how it is now)

I bet when the powers that be read the forum they must think we are a bunch of negative moaners - but it isn't that we all want what is best for Barrow AFC - and know when it comes to lots of things we can do so much better.

Very good points made Bingo. Especially the email one, thats exactly what I think happens.

Its just frustrating for the club to be saying they want a community integrated club which is to be the pride of Barrow. Yet theyll let fans questions and queries go unanswered.

The CEO said in the summer that the club would be run using 'electronic communications'.

Maybe the words 'into the ground' were omitted!!

Barrow police have just tweeted a pic of the pitch which looks in great condition

Tranmere fans all week asking about state of pitch - how many have been put off making travel plans based on no reply

Club continue to throw money away

Odd that we rely on the police to tweet a picture of our pitch then retweet it?

Seen a few people aiming questions at the clubs twitter which have gone unanswered this week. Really it would take 10 minutes to go through them, the club needs to pull its finger out of its arse.

Throwing money away by not responding to potential travelling away fans. "Do you think we need the money?"

On my count the club has been tweeted 6 times about tomorrows game being on.

5 have remained unanswered by the club . Thankfully Charlie aka Bingo has stepped in there.

1 was answered by saying " Updates will be availible as soon as possible" that was 11:38 yesterday morning.

Nothing has since been mentioned.

How Barrow Police are tweeting pictures of the pitch saying it looks playable yet we are not responding to the easiset of queries is beyond me.

Lets say the 6 people who enquired were waiting on that answer. Thats £84 in tickets alone.

Just a quick onw not just twitter but also Facebook. Im now managing a pub and we put out the standard like and share for a chance to win something yesterday.

within 12 hours it had been shared 1450 times. The page has had a new 1000 likes almost and the post has so far been viewed by 61,000 people.

The club should be doing more like this advertising games and the old like and share for a chance to win 2 tickets or aomething.

on facebook especially, if people dont interact with your page regularly posts stop coming up on your newsfeed (not that the put much on)

Just a thought...

Perfect example Crayston. Building a brand is what the club has been on about. What better to way to help achieve that by usuing social media to expand

and if done right its completely free other than the prize. But those who win the prize then get say 2 free tickets... because theyve had free tickets they are more likely to buy a programme or have an extra pint in the cross bar pre game etc. its win win and the brand gets out there. takes 20seconds to put a post like that on facebook

We did used to do exactly this when Frazer and Pete ran the social media in the final year of the Keen era.

So the Police are giving news on the pitch and the club do the banning?

Tune in next week when Crimefighting Duo S and S (That's Steve and Sue rather than Sapphire and Steel) take down some drug dealers on the Eggo while Trev and Craig appear on Radio Cumbria Sport to update us on new signings.

It's appalling. I gave up on the clubs social media outlets ages ago. Can't even remember the last time i visited the official site. Poor, really poor
