4th consecutive home game in 11 days might mean it might not quite as big a gate as it could/should be, however would expect a lot of interest in this from floating fans. Doesn't need to be made all-ticket - might help to sell tickets in advance to ease queues on the day.
Will be interested to see how serious Tranmere take this with more pressure on them to get promotion this season than have a Cup run?

Never mind Tranmere, it will be interesting to see how seriously we take it. I know Mr Casson would like a cup run but Mr Cox may have his eye on the league. We have a small squad and if we get good results against Macclesfield and Maidstone before we play the cup game it might be all change. We could well see the fringe players instead of the regular 11 in preparation for the trip to Woking the week after. I hope we give it a go.

Possibly the worst draw us Tranmere fans could have hoped for. A tricky away tie at a decent side with only the 1st round of the FA Cup as a reward... I can't see many Tranmere fans making the journey up for this one I'm afraid. While we're crap, I'd rather we weren't in it at all to be honest.

Shades of the halcyon days of 1967 when we played, and beat Tranmere, at home in the 2nd round of the FA Cup. That led to our home game with Southampton in round 3 which we only lost after a replay. Lets hope it's the start of another great cup run..

If it had been a First Round FA Cup game we might have hit 2,000 - but because it's a qualifying round we 'll attract nowhere near that figure. Very little interest from Tranmere fans, apparently, so few traveling fans. The biggest selling point of this game is the return of Andy (my mouth is slightly bigger than my belly) Cook. He'll receive a very warm reception, I'm sure...
