Said all year we need a vocal experienced keeper, I'm really surprised Cox didn't sign one in the summer especially with half the defence being so inexperienced as well
Neither side did enough to win tonight, draw was definitely the fair result. Just felt a bit flat all round although that was possibly because Macclesfield worked extremely hard to close us down, never really had any space to string a few passes together. Was surprised we didn't make more changes earlier, looked leggy last twenty minutes. Ross Hannah must wonder what he's doing here when he sees the awful Haworth replacing our number nine

He deserves to be hammered.
Let him go to Penrith and get experience
People say he is a good shot stopper well a Goalkeeper should also be able to come for a cross and kick a ball.
Cox saying how teams will not give us a win but we are not going to win games with such a inept keeper
Cox is on the radio making excuses for Dixon.
He needs to sign a decent keeper.

Dixon was definitely to blame for the goal. Had nothing to do all night then flapped at a ball that was going to nothing. Another 2 points dropped. Thats 6 points Dixon has cost us.
Poor game. Macc rarely challenged and the Referee was goddam awful as he usually is here. Gave Macc everything and booked our lad for nothingness. Pedantic is a loose term with this whistle blowing individual. Once again [thats all the Referees so far cept the first] that I have witnessed booing for a match Referee.

Lacking a spark tonight and couldn't get going. Signs that maybe some changes needed for Sat.
Still searching for the Young Soul Rebels

I'll have to wait for the highlights as I wasn't watching Dixon. I was watching how our defence allowed Macclesfield to score an identical goal to the two Chester scored earlier in the season. Unchallenged, allowed to get the ball in the box wide of goal. Then all they did was fire it across a crowded 6-yard box where it could have gone anywhere. Not a single Barrow player able to touch it clear. Someone got a touch and in it went. Defensive nightmare all round.

Time for haworth to go, how is he still anywhere near this squad.
Not saying any of others were great tonight, but coming on as a late sub he showed no effort or enthusiasm.
Just wanders about doing very little

Agreed, badly need another winger. If like tonight Williams is quiet we don't have that pacy outlet, Hughes does ok but is never a winger

Couldn't see our goal coming until it did and was happy enough to settle for the 0-0. We lacked with wing pace and creativity but that was the game and tbf macc were a decent side. A must win on Saturday if we want to stay in the mix at this stage of the season. Good luck, I'll be working

Dixon is the weak link in the team.
Totally useless.

You're trying too hard.

Dixon is a good keeper.

Good point against a decent side. Important week ahead

The only negative comments Andy Wood made were regarding Dixon which personally I thought were spot on. I haven't yet seen last night's goals but Dixon repeatedly makes mistakes and costs us goals. Has done since we signed him and just isn't good enough.

Their goal was a keeper error unfortunately; he had no need to come out of the six-yard box when Diarra and Livesey are covering the cross, he knocked Diarra out of the way then was out of position. However, most players make a mistake or two during a game so let's not be too critical of the lad; he is learning and will be a good keeper given time, a bit of coaching and some encouragement.
We will follow the soccer, over land and sea...

The forum would seem to be split re Dixon.I am a supporter of Dixon because he is a decent keeper who does make saves which other keepers may not do.He is a young keeper who IMO is improving and I think we should stick with him. Those against Dixon,be careful what you wish for.
Last night I think he got a punch to the ball (which may have hung in the wind).Unfortunately the punch wasn't a good one but I think the defence should have dealt with it.Only my thoughts.

Thought Hannah should have come on for Bennett. What does he have to do!!!!!!?
