Cracking game thoroughly enjoyed it. Shame about those who stayed away, poor things. Gomis the pick of the bunch but plenty of good performances

Everyone was class, pleased with the win but even more so with the performance and spirit after the red.

Defence were faultless, Gomes is the player we've been missing for years and years, and Asa Hall even looked like a good footballer today.

Systen and style of play seemed different today, building from the back, long ball when it's suitable but actuslly a bit of plan B and the fullbacks getting forward which was good to see. Delighted with the fact we kept on attacking after the red, subs were striker for striker and we kept the game moving well. Dunno if it was Bignot or Moore who set us up to play that way but whoever it is deserves some plaudits too.

Keep that starting 11 fit and confident and we'll do alright.

Watching Tranny v Dover. A Tranny player goes in on a Dover player exactly the same as ARH and nothing happened. Unbelievable !

Great game today. Barrow cruising at 2-0 playing good football, and then hit the self destruct button. Moore gifts BW a goal, and then Harvey dives in with a two footed challenge, not the first time, nor I suspect the last, gets himself sent off. BW tails up hit the bar just before half-time whistle. Start of second half Barrow under pressure and we're thinking it's going to be a long half. But no. We weather the storm, and then take control. If Yussef and his finishing boots on we could have had a third. A brilliant second half performance from ten man Barrow.

They got off to a good start by picking the best team available! Having 2 good strikers like Harrison and Yussef is a big plus in this league. Once Harrison is fully match fit it will be even better.

What the first page or two of posts don't seem to mention (not sure whether that's the radio commentary at fault!) but we were all over them and with a bit of luck could've been 3 or 4 up. Byron had a chance in the first minute & Moussa forced their keeper into a great save. At that point we were playing some of the best football I've seen at HS for quite a while.
Sending off soon spoilt that, couldn't tell if it was deserved from where we were but ARH's harshest critic who sits right by the incident said it wasn't a red.....that alone convinces me it wasn't

The flowing football went slightly out of the window the second half as we dug in and they tried to take advantage of the extra man, not that it wasn't still entertaining because it was.

Hard to pick any players out for special praise but Gomis, (who is looking better and better every game) Moussa, Jones and of course Moore (apart from the mistake) who saved us the three points with a cracking save at the end all deserve credit. Got to agree with an earlier post about Yussuf, he battles well but get little protection from ref's.

Pretty poor referee who let the continuous shirt pulling by BW go unpunished all of the game.

Lovely sunny day, three points and playing good football.....the stay aways missed a treat.

As Ste said, I thought our style of play was superb, Watched Bignot quiet closely and he was shouting instructions, getting info over at half time and making sure people knew whos job it was mark who when they came on. Even stood with Yussef and Byron at halftime to point a few things out.

I didnt think Alexs red was a red , their number 8 (who also got Gomis booked and was a complete knob of a man) made a meal of it. But he did lunge in and gave the clueless ref a choice to make and of course he chose the wrong one.

Second half we battled well, kept a good shape and have obviously learnt lessons from the Solihull collapse.

Crowd got "right behind the Bluebirds" today, well done to you all.

Oh, and as always the ref was shit.

Thought Jones adapted well to being put in CM when we went to a back 4. Dunne was great filling in there.

Tactically nailed it by leaving 2 strikers on. At one point there was 7 BW players staying back to deal with just Yussuf and Harrison. Meant that they struggled a lot to build attacks.

Can't wait for Tranmere next week now!
