I'm with Kieran don't believe anything now!
Paul Casson had budgets set out in his 5 year plan so to say it wasn't run right is down to who I think Andrew Casson was in charge!
I said to a former member of this forum I'll give it 4 years tops and Casson would bale he's made fools of us all (including the media )
He goes on about running an academy this will take years to bear fruition the guy is an idiot.
It's an absolute disgrace to try to blame the community and his grandfather would be dismayed some F*****get legacy.
Paul Casson should come back here and have the moral compass to face the music he's got no EXCUSES Tony Keen warned him of how much it would cost believe me this statement is a smokescreen.
We need to know if we're on safe ground or slowly drowning in quicksand!

I agree shaun. I just hope this season doesn't pan out to be an embarrassment where we become a laughing stock-cos we aint got no one to complain at now. The owners have put their cards on the table and will just walk away.

This has been on the cards from the start of the season when it was pretty obvious financial backing had been reduced considerably. I'm afraid my worries began from the point Paul Casson started all this publicity nonsense in London. It smacked of the big 'I am' syndrome but I think his knowledge of football was so limited that he believed putting a couple of million pounds into the club would buy a new stadium and produce a team capable of walking into the Football League. I don't think he had any concept of the amount of money that is required to support a football team at this level. This is a similar situation when a chap took over as chairman of Newport County after winning £45 million on the lottery in 2012 but in 2015 after spending £1.25 million he had enough and resigned.

Manger, Bingo . . . manger? I reckon it's going to go something like this . . .

Away goes the manger, no cash for a team,
Our saviour Lord Casson gives up on his dream
The stars in the good teams look down on our offers
No chance they'll come here as there's nowt in the coffers

Sorry, Bingo, couldn't resist that.

Already there in the statement Mark:

In the short term, I have a list of ground improvements that I would like to see implemented over the summer, and we will need volunteer support to complete them.

Whoever you are, you're a patronising pr1ck who gives no thought to the fact (FACT) that other people just might know things about things.

Holkerbird wrote: Wed May 16, 2018 4:26 pm Well lets get back to the club that we know and love. No more of this ridiculous player's lounge for a start. There was always a connection between the fans and the players---that's what makes non league special. Fans and players and their families all mixing and getting to know each other. Great banter and camararderie. We were as one.

Just for information for anyone who met Brian Owen, YJO's dad, he sadly passed away this week. Always at matches home and away along with YJO's grandad and in one season travelled 28,000 miles in support. A larger than life character who was only in his 50's I believe. You see we KNEW these people unlike now.

In the past we have had players travelling from further afield Wales, Sheffield. etc and Masters from Hasting leaving on a Friday and getting back home on a Sunday and they didn't find travelling to Barrow a hardship cos they wanted to play for us. Andy Burns on the Monday we brought the promotion Trophy home he came straight out of work and drove up to Barrow cos he was proud of what they had achieved for Barrow AFC. Its the quality of the person not the distance that's the problem. Bearing in mind these were part timers Not the pampered spoilt players we have ended up with.
It's up to us fans now to roll up the sleeves and get on with it---as my mam used to say when troubles hit.
We've had better and we've had worse BUT WE ARE STILL HERE.
Ever so sorry to hear about YJO's Dad Brian, really nice bloke.

What [SwearFilter] me off is some so called fans will be loving this
Had a quick look on a former member of this forum's twitter page and he's having some sort of Twitter-gasm over it, even going as far as answering himself and asking players from seasons ago opinions on it.

If Ady does go we already have someone being paid a manager’s wage for the next couple of years!

What revenues do the club have in place? Genuine question, gate money, shirt and other sponsors, corporate....?
I hope Casson followed protocol by printing this statement off and waving it around it front of the fans before making it official.

Already stated that he was on a year by year rolling contract, so I guess either party is free to terminate at this stage.

It looks like Ady Pennock is off no statement on his future but with the penny pitching announced he will have no option
Ironically he led FGR to top of league and then got the bullet, now he looks like he is on the way out here after keeping us up.
Little Kim will have to rewrite his statement fron that Pennock never kept us up so he was let go.
Now Ady the plan was relegation you failed and so you are the weakest link bye
