it's a trial so there's only limited things they are trialling - but there's no reason that say a few hundred at Holker or 500 at Barrow couldn't have been a sensible trial (apart from work going on at Holker Street)

I live in staining and I’m going to chance my arm at going for a pint in the corner flag (there bar that overlooks the pitch)AugustusCorpa wrote: ↑Fri Aug 14, 2020 3:40 pm Typical. I’ve lived on the Fylde coast for years and when we eventually get a game at Blackpool we can’t attend.
The old restaurant if you know it above the hotel.

if he impresses it's an ideal move for us and him - as we train in Rochdale and he was just released by them.JammyBluebird wrote: ↑Sat Aug 15, 2020 2:16 pm Josh Lillis played second half on trial for Barrow

Re: Pre season Friendlies
Holker v Barrow
165 days after their final national league game against Notts County back on the 7th of March Barrow returned to action to begin their preparations for their football league return
Despite the gap in class between the sides Holker came close to opening the scoring Robbie Wallace getting free in the box pulling a save from Joel Dixon
6 players from last seasons squad in the first half were joined by new arrivals James Jones, Callum Gribbin and Bobby Burns.
The north west counties side held their own up until the mid half drinks break but barrows ability soon shone through, Lewis Hardcastle opened the scoring with a well struck free kick leaving Sam Stephens helpless
Moments later they doubled their lead, a ball in the box from the trialist was flicked to the back post by Scott Quigley and turned home by Jack Hindle for 2-0
Hindle was on hands again to make it 3 just before half time after Callum Gribbin took it round Sam Stephens following a great counter attack by Scott Quigley
Barrow made all 11 changes at the break and after a patient first half where little happened prior to the drinks break a mistake from Holkers young goalkeeper gave Luke James and easy chance to tuck away the fourth goal
That’s about as much as I did on my phone notes wise
I’m a talker not a writer ha

Club match report. From the few paragraphs it sounds like Hindle was quite involved in first half.
Nice touch to reference the minutes silence for the Holker physio.

Don't know how true it is but I believe lillis (if it was him) signed a contract post match.
