Like the new idea of shoot on sight and not to try to walk the ball into the back of the net.

As others have said the 2 lads from Leeds have transformed us. Stevens is the real deal. Really happy that the change in style, a much more entertaining watch. It suits Kay as well, I thought he linked up well with Gotts and Stevens. Midfield full of pace, energy and footballing ability. Grayson and Banks are far better playing out from the back than Arthur and Ntlhe. Not convinced defensively by Banks yet, but if he’s going to play there than Farman has to pass to him every time or there’s no point.

New system tonight - ( have we been on grass this week??) took a while for the players to get used to it but boy once they did Newport didn’t really get a kick. Cooper clearly believes that Gotts and Stevens can outrun the opposition and on this showing you’d say he is right. Cut out the mistakes and we will be rolling high. Leeds boys, Banks and Brough top class. Ellis a good defender. Zanzala looked poor and Sea had a great Cameo. Farman’s distribution poor but he’s a good shot stopper. Very pleased with that outcome. Remember, Newport were playoff finalists last year .

Great win that. First half we were pretty poor tbh, not helped by having pretty much just Gotts on his own in centre mid, second half Kay came off the wing and dropped more central allowing himself, Gotts and Stevens to link up so much better. Still think going forward we’re much better off with a centre back at centre back and get Banks back in centre midfield
Very brave move from Cooper to take off Zanzala who was having a very quiet game, at 1v0 down most managers would just lazily keep their main striker on in the hope of a goal
Two great finishes, Gordon’s in particular was a fantastic strike and much deserved, the lad grafts his backside off every game
Think we can safely say the board can start planning where to put the extra seats we need for another season in the EFL even at this early stage; there’s no chance we go down. The lads from Leeds have just added that bit more attacking quality, if we ever get everyone fit we have a really decent squad now

Great result under the lights tonight and a good atmosphere in the crowd even tho the first 20 minutes were dire and the next 25 only marginally improved.I like others thought Banks was playing in wrong position but having listened to managers interview can now understand his tactics and Banks certainly can thread a ball through the opposition.excellent three points and both the Leeds lads are very useful.A good win against a decent team who I think will be play offs again this year.
Other good news was arrival of the burger wagon from Grange in the fanzone.Has quite a varied menu and was doing a good trade when I popped in earlier in the evening.Apparently a pizza outlet was meant to turn up as well but let us down. There were a lot of people in fanzone tonight. The bar was busy also so hopefully much needed revenue received for club.We can all look forward to stress free weekend now and await the other results to come in.Well done to manager I think he is going to give us a bit of a roller coaster ride this season and I look forward to it.

Great to see that Mark Cooper obviously wants to play the same type of football as did Ian Evatt. Luckily, by virtue of signing the 2 Leeds lads he has the midfield players who can do it. Those 2 have transformed the team. I actually think that Gotts is the better of the 2 and for me was the man of the match tonight.

The burger outlet is from Askam
And bit harsh to say pizza outlet let us down - browns in lindal have a case of covid so weren’t able to be there

Yes all very positive but not sure ‘Luckily’ is the right adjective. I think by all accounts a number of clubs were interested so it will it have taken hardwork and effort to get them here. Not to mention support from the board . It’s credit to the manager, his vision , his powers of persuasion and the board , and, hopefully we will get our just rewards 👍🏻.

Harsh - he makes some outstanding saves . I guess like all of us he has his weaknesses! But strong points too.

Great interview that, wants to get the ball down and pass.
Thought we were poor 1st half and never got going, 2nd half we were superb.
2 great strikes as well. Keep up the good work Everyone.

Well done Barrow for turning the performance round.Whatever Mark Cooper said to them at half time worked.I think Farman needs to cut out these basic errors though as going forward it could cost us.He did make up for it though in the second the second half though,so hopefully he will improveTwo fantastic goals. The team is starting to come together. : :scarf: :scarf: :scarf:
