The Mansfield forum (Stagsnet) is generally positive about Barrow and depressed about their own team. Best comment “I felt sorry for the Barrow keeper, the poor lad must have been frozen”. Reflects our overall dominance, although Paul Farman did have a scary moment with a blocked clearance in front of the Barrow fans in the first half.

Entertaining, eventful game with chances on both sides. Barrow didn't hit the heights of Valley Parade for most of the game but deserved the win (as a Barrow fan, I would probably think that, of course). Gordon and Brough impressed, working very hard throughout.

Sitting immediately behind one of the posts, I don't agree with russell_anderson that Zanzala 'missed a sitter' and that he 'should also have got on the end of a great Brough cross near the end'.

Referee was OK, consistent with both sides and correct with the red card though a weaker official may have fudged it. I don't think anyone booked today can have any real quibbles about it but can't say whether he was correct to book the home manager (though that may have affected the grumpy interview with the latter after the match).

Good to see families/friends of the squad sitting among the Barrow supporters and their shared. delight with players and also between players and officials and the fans at the end.

Gordon looks a mile offside at the end, was it flicked on by a defender?

Correct link for the highlights: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ykQMubxug5s

Yes, Mansfield defender flicked it on to Gordon, so wasn’t offside 👍

Would prefer to sell all the tickets for Orient on Saturday and help our own club.

After 10 games last season we were 15th on 11 points, 6 points behind 7th placed Crawley. Not as bad as I expected. It must have been from this point that the wheels started to get a bit wobbly.
Don't let the old man in.

Vales away end holds 4,500 (they sell their away tickets a block at a time)
... I'd much prefer to see that kind of a crowd at Holker Street but not meant to knock the great vocal support that does go away.

The Club website is refusing to process payment for a Port Vale ticket anyway.

I think the atmosphere from the HSE is vastly improved. More so than the popular side.
Keep up the good vocals lads and lasses.

Good to see the Club wanting Leeds United fans to attend the game on Saturday at lot of lads follow Leeds who live in Barrow hopefully a few might turn up and have several pints in the Cross Bar/Fan Zone during the day, just get the rest of the Premier League/Arm Chair fans also could be a cracking atmosphere if it happens hope the Club are ready for it, would be nice to invite the Barrow Raiders fans also.

Its not the club promoting the game to Leeds fans it’s a fan account. But yer it’s the sort of thing we should be doing on a weekend like this to increase the gates; as you say just simple “missing your local sport fix Barrow raiders fans, why not come along to Holker street” etc social media posts can’t do any harm. Crowds always grow with success but the club needs to do a lot more to get people along as well imho
