What I said in my post a few months ago was that I was attending my first away game. Prior to last season, I've never had the cash to go, it's only recently that I've been able to. I've been following Barrow since 2001, which in the position of some veteran Barrow fans, that is still fairly recent.
I apologise if my attempt at a tongue in cheek joke fell a bit short and upset a few people. I am fully aware of the amazing work Casson did for the club! I know it was his vision and generosity that teed us up and set us off to the football league.

“We do intend, subject to final design and cost analysis, to seat the Cross Bar End. This seems a relatively simple way to install circa 250 seats while also reopening this currently ‘closed’ end of the ground and allowing some supporters back to their spiritual home behind that goal.

We don’t intend, on current information, to extend the existing Main Stand. The reason for this is that, if we join on to the existing structure, we further tie ourselves to it long term. While there are no plans in place to demolish the Main Stand, I think most supporters would agree that when we visit other grounds who have successfully redeveloped (Accrington being the most popular example, but there are others) a stand like ours doesn’t feel like it has a role in the long-term future of the Club.“

Good news about going back to a 4 sided ground……but wasn’t the idea at one point we didn’t want “further tying” to the crossbar end so that can be knocked down eventually?

Seems the cheapest option l suppose and should tidy up the Steelworks End. Seeing it the way it is week in week out you get used to it; however seeing it on ESPN or iFollow you are reminded what an eyesore it is somehow.

Plus the 110 of so in the away end i make that around 1360 so a temporary structure on the flat west terrace holding around 650 would satisfy the EFL and also increase our capacity

2000 seats is a requirement by the end of season 3 so we still have another year to bring it up to the required limit (unless we go and get promotion this season)
