We looked absolutely devoid of shape, game plan and cohesion from front to back we were an absolute shambles. Lump it n hope it falls to us which it never did cos we didn’t win a single second ball all night.

The gamble on two young eager strikers will not pay off either as they are 4st wet through and too naive, we shouldn’t be throwing kids into a dog fight to learn their trade ffs. Leicester n Sunderland must see we could ruin em!!!!

Cooper must want out the way he acts, speaks and the teams performances of late but we prob can’t afford to pay him out. His attitude has never been one of him loving to be here, seems we’ve always been a stop gap until something closer to home crops up for him.

We are in a proper fight and the fixtures do not look good for us either ffs

Well the effort was there, BUT our lack of quality up front is there for all to see ,we needed to push the boat out and bring in 2 decent forwards ( no disrespect but 2 untried youngsters isn't going to save us ).
this 3 at the back at home is not working we end up with either 5 defenders or everyone out wide with only one central attacker , until it gets desperate we hardly get in the opposition's box and when we do nobody attacks the ball with any conviction.
people keep saying Cooper's going to turn it around FFS how ,?
please tell me because we are clueless in the final third.
Paul Farman should concentrate on his own game instead of trying to blame everyone else.
we've no leaders on the pitch and a manager who for me is too negative no wonder the player's seem to drop their heads when we go a goal down.
we are now in a bad position if we get relegated we've had it !
people saying we're OK well I don't know how after watching the last few home displays can they still say that?

God we don't look like scoring in a million years. Slightly better in pressing the opposition but final ball was pants. Salford were poor. They were there for taking. Big problems for Cooper.

That game had 0v0 at worst all over it until Farman had a howler to concede that free kick; very very frustrating because for all the money they spend Salford look a very average team in a very average league. It’s head against a brick wall territory but we need an experienced target man up front, Harris tries his best and wins a few flick ons to be fair but most teams at this level have two meat head centre backs who dominate in the air.
Not even really sure what the plan was when James (League Two striker my arse) and Wakeling came on was; we ended up with some form of 4-2-4 formation and it was just a case of kick it forward and hope for the best.

The only real positive was the crowd, 3500 home fans on a Tuesday night when we are 4th bottom of the league and can’t buy a home win is pretty damn incredible

I feel like the effort is there. The system clearly doesn’t work, at all, especially at home. Too many bodies too deep and always men short in attack. It’s insipid. Hope the board are actively seeking replacement managers because there’s going to come a time shortly where Cooper’s position becomes untenable.

Good to see Jason Walker in the popular side tonight.

Looking round the ground , can you believe the attendance? There may have been that number of tickets sold, but not that number in the ground

We played some decent football tonight, but yet again couldn't finish it off with goals. The only decent shot on goal was Ollie Banks free kick.Apart from that we couldn,t hit a barn door.We gave them their two goals by a basic goalkeeping error by Farman and Romeo Hutton,s own goal which I thought was unfortunate as he had played pretty well for most of the game.I don,t know what the solution is ,because we now can,t defend as well as not being able to score goals.
We need to get a decent striker ASAP otherwise we are looking at relegation. It is almost like Deja Vu as we were in a similar position to this last season.
Let's hope we manage to get a result against Newport but on current performances I can,t see it and we gave them one of their best players.
I just hope I am wrong.

Well I thought although we lost again we put more effort in than on Saturday .Why do we only shoot at goal when we behind. If this team can play against Ipswich and Barnsley well they should be able to at least hold a poor team like Salford to a draw even if we cannot hit a barb door at moment.Blame team not Cooper at moment but thank god for Oldham and Scunthorpe .Need to sort this out soon .A lot to ask of the young lads brought in as strikers at moment.Anyone any good experienced already snapped up got to keep the faith.

Again there was little goal threat. The young lad thrown in up front as a lone striker but he got nothing all night and I’m sorry this is only going to be a scrap from here on in and through no fault of their own these youngsters have landed in a struggling side facing a relegation battle. It’s a recipe for disaster. I think we’ve had a poor window. Everyone could see we needed physical strength and experience up front and we just haven’t brought that in. Yes we probably needed to pay for it.

Other thing as well. I can’t be the only one getting fed up of the pathetic nonsense going on in the HSE with these kids more interested in goading the opposition at the fence. Week after week we are seeing this now. The club need to sort it out because it’s getting tiring to put up with. Who would be a steward - thankless task.

Anyone studying recent results would have favoured Barrow to get something out of tonight’s game, having beaten Colchester 2-0 away- who in turn beat Salford City away 3-0 the next week. All those results- and tonight’s 2-0 defeat for Barrow show- is there are very fine margins between most of the teams in League 2, making converting the small number of goal chances in each match crucial to survival.

The effort was there again, but once again we came away empty handed. The finishing touch was lacking, apart from Hutton’s unfortunate pin-point precision in poking the ball past Farman from Salford substitute McAleny’s cross in the 92nd minute. We could have done with that at the other end!

Other than that, it was a question of two free kicks which decided the match. Ollie Banks’ 53rd minute rocket shot from 30 yard was acrobatically tipped past the left post by King. Seven minutes later, Hunter’s free kick from the left edge of the area sailed past Farman into the right corner.

Otherwise, the match had 0-0 written all over it. Salford won a couple of early corners taken by Hunter, a Watson shot being blocked from the first in the 3rd minute.

At the other end, good interplay by Banks, Stevens and Hutton in the 18th minute gave the latter a shot on goal which was blocked.

In the 38th minute, Salford’s Love was booked for a foul and Kay’s free kick was put out for a corner- which came to nothing.

The second half would prove more eventful as the pace of the game increased. In the 52nd minute, Turnbull was booked for holding Harris back after he received a great ball from Banks and was advancing on goal. As already mentioned, Bank’s goalbound free kick required an equally special save to keep the score at 0-0. Kay’s corner was played short and eventually fell to Stevens who blasted well over the bar.

King saved a Kay cross four minutes later as we upped the pressure. Unfortunately, we were then hit on the break and panic set in, Platt being booked for a foul on the edge of the area. Hunter’s free kick on the hour went straight in for 0-1.

Two minutes later Harris blasted wide from range and Stevens went down for lengthy treatment. In the 66th minute, Salford went on the break again, Farman doing well to tip a fierce Watson shot over the bar. A Watson shot from the resultant corner was also blocked.

Straight after this, the injured Stevens was replaced by James, and Wakeling came on for Ntlhe. A Hutton cross was saved and a Brough cross tipped away as we threatened but couldn’t get the final connection to truly test King.

Brough and Shephard were each booked for an altercation. Further Barrow pressure failed to make inroads before Barrow’s final change of Devitt for White in the 79th minute, Kelly and McAleny also coming on for Salford’s Lund and Love.

We finally ran out of steam and it was the visitors who looked most likely to score in the final minute. A Hunter free kick from 25 yards went just wide of the right post in the 87th minute, Devitt shooting wide from similar range a minute later. Another minute on, Farman blocked a close-range effort from Kelly.

In the seven minutes of added time, the second provided the sucker punch as Hutton superbly converted McAleny’s cross for an own goal which only emphasised what we were missing at the other end.

Kay was awarded Barrow’s man of the match, the crowd being 3,510 including 59 visiting fans.

Probably won’t make any difference but I still never understand why we attack an empty stand in the second half, shoot toward the HS End second half and at least then you get plenty of backing

So who is training the team, setting the tactics (if there are any} and picking the team?

May as well put all the players names in a hat because Cooper hasn't got a clue about what his best team is.
