Re: Expansion
If possible buy the Bluebird Club put the changing rooms, bar and club shop in there add a tunnel to the pitch and then pull the crossbar down. Make the Steelworks end the away end, terrace only for now to take full advantage of the times there would be a big away following. If seating has to be provided for the away fans use the new west terrace stand. Corporate would be under the main grandstand.
This would maximise income with the least redevelopment and get us back to a four sided ground with the existing stand, all the Holker end and the Popular Side for home fans. The added advantage is getting rid of the screen for away fans which is awful.

Re: Expansion
Bar with some corporate hospitality boxes on top where you can watch the game .. that garage site is in a better place than the croesus barBarrowLad71 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 24, 2023 8:41 pmMaybe to keep creating a better environment and match day experience for all Barrow fans? That adds to increasing crowd and getting more revenue into the club.Desmond2-2 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 24, 2023 6:17 pm
If we have, don’t see any benefit in it personally. People obsessed with increasing capacity, why? More seats I get, the rest is not required.
For example buying that garage you could build a little bar under there with the food. How much extra £ would that bring in over a season. I certainly know a lot of folk who don’t bother due to the queues in the main area for home fans.
This all then increases money available for on the pitch.
But no… no benefit as it doesn’t suit you?
It would be good it tue club could buy that area it allows for future development to grown the club
Re: Expansion
If the club does manage to get hold of the garage that can surely only be a good thing. Just gives options and removes a headache for any future pop side development. Good move if it can happen.
Still searching for the Young Soul Rebels

Re: Expansion
Club cant develop the area by the old floodlight/phone mast as I've heard the club sold the floodlight instead of renting it out. so cant remove it.

Wrexham
Re: Expansion
It was a swap deal. Casson got that with a. View to expand his telecoms business and the club got a new boiler.bluessupporter wrote: ↑Tue Apr 25, 2023 5:56 pmWho did they sell it to?32mile_cul-de-sac wrote: ↑Tue Apr 25, 2023 1:42 pm Club cant develop the area by the old floodlight/phone mast as I've heard the club sold the floodlight instead of renting it out. so cant remove it.
Re: Expansion
New floodlights, pitch relaid and new drains and wages paid and the club sold to the present owners for what he paid.
Never forget the pettiness of some supporters over a boiler though the most important thing Paul ever did for the club
Just say no to VAR

Re: Expansion
So if Casson 'got' the phone mast, surely it now belongs to the club as he sold the whole caboodle to the present owners, or are you saying he still owns that one thing. Seems unlikely and slightly bizarre!

They pay for its upkeep etc that’s why it always looked sparkling compared to the other 3 rust buckets which were condemned - and also why it’s still standing loud and proud
