Playing one up front can work, but not if that one is Aquahman. Most people in the crowd knew that at 3pm today and after 45 minutes SC knew it too. So we live and learn - from our mistakes. Great tenacity shown in the second half as SC changed the shape and we got our reward for the endeavour. Semper Sursum.

Where were they against Gillingham and Doncaster.
Still need a striker
All teams have games where they don't score, even those with proven strikers - that's football. We ain't doing too badly for a team allegedly with none!

I am more convinced than last season that with some luck with injuries we will be in and around the play offs this season. We wouldn’t have come back and won that game after being below par first half last season
Stokes and Vassell were excellent but Kian Spence is the man, desperately need to get him tied down to at least another year

Agree RE Kian Spence. The lad is great player. Listening to Paul Hornby last night he indicated the club will be doing all they can to get players to sign new contracts but he said like Ben Whitfield last season the players have the right to run there contracts down if they so wish and move on for no fee

Hard thought 3 points that. Good to see us battle back from 1 down. Seems to be more resilience this season.
I like the way Clemence speaks in interviews nothing about little old Barrow, we are as good a side as anyone and deserve to be there.

What a good player Jackson is. Firstly, was it him booting the ball clear from under our own crossbar when Cheltenham might otherwise have stolen a winner? And not long afterwards he's delivering at the other end of the field - - - just really excellent wing role in a dramatic Dallas finale.

Certainly was Paul him and Vassell streets ahead of most defender's in this league!

Disagree. It was a good effort to save it at all.

He's a young lad who is stepping up, he did well with chester and we must get right behind the lad! Farman gets called out for mistakes as all keepers do. We gotta trust the lad as he is well and truly part of the team!

Cheltenham came to frustrate and destroy and were successful in the first half when Barrow largely allowed them to do so.

After the break, Barrow played more like Barrow have done this season and it was particularly good to see Acquah score, having been the recipient of so much unpunished, unpleasant attention in the first half. Also good to see Dallas score a deserved winner after Barrow's accurate passing game dominated the second half, further moving towards confounding the negative predictions of some of the doomsters on this forum in respect of strikers scoring.

I hope that Stubbs, the visitors' number 25, treasures the Barrow shirt that will undoubtedly have been presented to him after the match in the Crossbar. He had put so much effort into taking Acquah's from him - then shirts of assorted others after young Emile was substituted.

It had happened all game and had gone unpunished even when the Steelwork End of the pop side became very energetic, agitated and colourful in their advice towards the referee as the second half progressed. Officials must see it, must recognise it as a form of cheating (ungentlemanlly conduct) yet it regularly goes unpunished. If one wanted to see a WWE bout, Holker Street shouldn't be the venue.

EDIT: Good effort again by Foley who once more stood up to be counted.

Feel like Sam Foley has gone quietly under the radar as a fantastic servant for the club. He’s amassed over 100 appearances in a little over two seasons. So far this season the energy he has consistently shown is fantastic and has been a massive part in us trying to get through this tough period injury wise, long may it continue :scarf:

Yes it was ok when music played at start but then went off and in Brian Arrowsmith stand it wasn’t coming through could hear the bloke talking in distance but with crowd noise was not coming through to us in middle of the stand.Hopefully minor problem fixed before next home game.

Really glad for Andy Dallas, took his goal well and that'll do his confidence a power of good would think.
I thought Dom Telfords work rate was good when he came on tackling back and helping out.
