And that's because we were nowhere near the playoffs!, why do people defend the poor attendances we get ,it's typical of the mindset we have, that's what Murray and Evatt alluded to,everytime at work the excuses people make of why they don't attend!
Hornby even said that the lack of interest from investors was due to the attendances, bury your heads in the sand ,but if the people of this area can't be bothered supporting a successful team ,then how will we compete moving into next season??
Without either attendances rising or significant investment we will slip into non league obscurity

There just isn’t the same interest in lower and non league football anymore I don’t think. In the old unibond days we got by far the highest crowds in the league which were good for the level we were at, but I can think of many who no longer attend for various reasons. Even when the team was more successful a couple of years ago. And even after Covid when we got back into the league, people couldn’t really attend for a season and there’s a few there that once we struggled they didn’t return.

Whether it’s football on tv, going to watch clubs, playing themselves or just fed up at some of the last two years….i just think a lot lost interest and it’s hard to get people back. A winning team always helps of course and if we carry on and are close to the top then you’d like to think more would return.

We only got back up in 2015 because of Cassons investment, and were successful back in the national league under Cox when the money was spent again. So without investment and or an immediate return and promotion, you do wonder what the next 2-3 years could look like.

Even with an immediate return to the EFL there is a 40% shareholding of Tony Shearers that needs financing. New substantial investment is imperative in the next 18 months if we are to progress

Strange one for me was Kouyate coming on and Mikey Lane staying on the bench.

Regarding attendance, what numbers do people think we should be expecting at this current time ?

Personally I think the current numbers are about what you would expect….

Given we got 2536 against Wealdstone who brought less than 100 fans and the great run we are on the fantastic result at Halifax i expected at least an equivalent attendance as the Wealdstone game perhaps a few more not a few hundred less

Since Chelsea we have to endure some bloody awful football. Last season I was so disappointed it was a struggle to force myself to attend. Even at the start of this season I was going to buy my season ticket and not bother turning up. I kept attending out of habit and the recent winning run has put some pleasure back.
Not just the results but the way we have played.
It will take time to get people back.
As for the away attendances the number of southern clubs is a factor I am sure
Just say no to VAR :sentoff:

A nice sunny day and lots of kids attending. I think yesterday's numbers are about what I expected

They always said ` when they get back in the FL I`ll go again ` and they did . So, I assume a lot of so called ` supporters ` will revert back to the old mindset, which is their choice . Not a criticism just what I know, this is one of the problems we`re up against
Yeah I get that but even then with significant away followings in our EFL stay we didn't really get large attendances!, surely we should be getting a minimum of 2,500 in our present position !
If I was an outsider looking at support ( given where we are ) I wouldn't invest in the club, why would you spend money on the stadium when it's two thirds empty!

I thought that but he did some nice touches at first then kept giving the ball away trying to be too clever until he gets rid of this habit he'll get nowhere in football !
Strange Murray didn't give an interview on the clubs twitter account, Andy Taylor did it, disappointing in my view unless he's got a throat infection,if he's not happy then neither were some fans, you can't pick interviews because you're upset just accept it ,can Adam shed any light unless of course there's one on radio Cumbria?

With the ending of the game being delayed due to the stoppage and added time Adam Murray needed to get away so Andy Taylor did the post match media. Nothing untoward towards it and not a rarity for an assistant to be sent to do the post match press

Very much so; especially after how well Lane did when he came on Tuesday

if he's not happy then neither were some fans, you can't pick interviews because you're upset just accept it ,

An example of jumping to conclusions without knowing anything ;)

Don't edit it to suit your comment, I added about Adam at the end !

Stop trying to be a smart arse all the time !
All you do is try to criticise others! 🙄
