Not sure everybody's happy. Yes, it was three points, but listening to it on the radio, sat in a comfortable armchair in a warm house, it sounded a miserable performance. My heart goes out to the 821 brave souls who suffered at a cold Holker Street.

Things can only get better - hopefully.

Well that was possibly the worst display i've seen in years, the only good points was the young left back and Cooky, who worked his socks off as usual. Dodgy keeper at the moment ( 2 identical howlers in last 2 home games ), no midfield ( again !!!! ) & absolutely devoid of any attacking ideas, their keeper didn't have a save to make all night. Body language was all wrong as far as I could see, appeared to be a distinct lack of effort, unless I'm very much mistaken. Don't get me started on Lacey, absolutely P*** poor, how the hell he gets a start in front of Ledsham is beyond me. I can only hope that for Edmos sake is that Ledsham was injured or something, but if that's the case then why was he on the bench ??
Didn't deserve anything from the game and on present showing, we need about half a dozen new players, cos the ones on show tonight ( bar a handful ) didn't seem interested through whatever reason. If we keep performing like that, it'll be mid a table finish and that's not acceptable.

But hey, everybody's happy, it's 3 points !!!!

Good post, ppl happy cos we got the 3 points need to open there blinkered eyes and see how bad we are at present, I struggle to see us even making the play offs with this squad missing the injured players at present. Those who were calling for Cribleys return ain't kicked a ball in their lives cos that guy is bobbins

In the RC pre match they said that Ledsham wasn't fit enough to start but might be able to come on later.

It's not been happening on the pitch for the last four or five games,(some may say more) the squad has also been stretched to the limit due to injuries. The team showed great character last night, looking out of it at 0-1 down they battled on showing great spirit and got a good result against a decent Hednesford team.
Team morale can only improve from that result and as we get our more creative players back from injury and add a bit more quality the football will improve with it. So lets show a little patience and we will see if all's well that ends well!

Pretty sure the first four are all roughly the same which is about a month although Pilks could be less now. Not sure what was up with Livesey so he could be back for Sat if it's only a knock. It's unbelievable that nearly all our big injury worries this season have been to our more influential players, I know that goes hand in hand with the amount of games played but still, it's been a really bad run of luck.

I agree with Mark, the players will, or should take something positive out of the result (not the style) for the way they kept going till the end. As I said earlier, I just hope what we have will keep us in touch with the top three places till players start coming back.

I worried myself this morning by looking at what the points difference was down to fifth! that's not good is it?

When Wilson was injured again we should have signed another striker to cover, it's the basics of football that you can't expect the same two strikers to perform well every week especially over the busy christmas period

Here Here, would like to praise Cowps who after a shocker at Hyde was cool calm and collective, could play on the ground out of defense. A natural centre back if you ask me.

I'll take the 3pts no matter how they come, but certain aspects are confusing and worrying.

I'm guessing Ledshaw was perhaps feeling the effect from his 90min v Hyde? Why else would he have not started. I'd like to see him in where Lacey plays, to say he had one of his poorer games is probably an understatement. Ledhsaw's break and pass to Anderton set up the goal, he needs to be given that role in there. PL doesn't even seem to be doing the enforcer role anymore (if he ever did) and looks a yard off the pace.

We could and probably should have been 2 up at HT, but again are wasting great chances. A wonderful free kick to win it - we have issues, but are still in the mix, hopefully we can build our confidence from the win, but think Edmo needs to really think about his best team.

Feeling the effects? It was about 8 days in between the two games

Hyde was his first full game in over a month though Al, he won't be anywhere near match fit yet.

Giving him 60-70 mins last night from the start though would have been a useful way of fixing that problem though, Cowps (snr) only knows what Edmo was doing there.

I can't comment on the performance as I wasn't there and have to accept the view of those present that it was poor. However, in mitigation, RC commentators and Edmo himself mentioned that teams come to Barrow to shut up shop and play for a point, which makes it very hard, especially when we don't have our best wide players. Having said that, team selection seems a bit baffling at times, eg Ellison out wide, then Ledsham when he came on. Radio C kept saying it was crying out for width - we had Cribley, Gorman and Pritchard - maybe not all the greatest players but worth keeping two wide men on one way or another?

Nevertheless, a sense of reality is needed. We are probably a top 8 side that got a bit lucky in the first half of the season. We are still second, let's be thankful for small mercies.

Do you know what I seriously wonder what most of you so called Barrow supporters expect football wise,your watching 6th tier football on a cold windy night what do you expect tippy tally football with perfect player control with inch perfect passing,come on for [SwearFilter] sake.Tonight we played some decent passing football at times and gave 100% comittment,yes we wasted a lot of ball and didn't create a lot but I can say we were far better than they were.As for people who moan [SwearFilter] moan all the time ,stay at home and watch the premiership.
