Robin Hulbert was different gravy to our midfielders currently and even though James Owen couldn't pass water or shoot he was a nasty wee s and so on the park who broke up play. Paddy Lacey rightly getting a bit of stick but what did Karl Ledsham do for an hour?

Cowps possible centre mid (don't think he'll play right back again!) Andy Burns was up against a good player, who had clearly been told to push on to him and stuck to his task. I thought they pressured us all over a bobbly looking park and we utterly failed to handle it outside f thee first 20 minutes.

We have variable wingers, we have decent strikers, we have two experienced centre backs, a good young left back and an honest young right back who is battling his way back from a dip in form. Both our keepers are all right for this level but unconvincing and have cost us goals (witness Taylor in the trophy as well as Macca).

All teams (even good ones with investment) at this level are limited and make mistakes. We are top despite having failed to look convincing in the majority of games. So it's down to which manager can eliminate the most errors through kicking the backsides of the [SwearFilter], encouraging the less confident and providing a clear pattern in which to play. The team reflects Darren- doing what was asked, with some very good points but also frustrating flaws such as an unwillingness to change the style of play. He needs to coax more out of our centre midfielders.

Nobody will care if we win the league and we won't get many more in now so we need to just grit our teeth, hope we make less mistakes than others and try and help them get over the line instead of getting our knickers in a twist every time we mess up.

We have the players to win this league, bit unfortunately I don't think we have the manager to win it.

That's the way I see it too - based on nearly every home game this season.

We witnessed a tactical masterclass yesterday v Solihull while we stuck to our idiotic and one dimensional clustermug of a "plan".

Right man for the job when appointed, not as sure now sadly. Same goes for a few of the players too.

If we don't go up this season it'll be a massive massive missed opportunity whatever Paul Casson may publicly be saying, league is there for the taken and I fear it's our own stubbornness and naivety that could ultimately be our downfall.

I said this when Edmo had been appointed.

He is more suited to a shoestring budget and a relegation dogfight. Barring a brief flirt with the play offs once hes never been battling for a number one spot.

The midfield has been an issue all year, we've rarely had a settled 3. 4 or 5 in there - I know injuries haven't helped, but it looks to me as if DE isn't sure how to fit all the jigsaw bits together in there.

He needs to decide quickly if we're going to play through there or by pass them and lump it long. We seemed to be doing neither with any great conviction.

I would love us to win this playing attacking flair football, but think it's pretty obvious by now that isn't going to happen.

Imo haven't seen the best of burns since he had bad game against fylde and lacey is not good enough and it amazes me how he is getting picked every game.

Yesterday was a massive opportunity missed with teams around us losing and I personally don't think solihull were all that good we were just really bad.

I've yet to see yesterday's referee, Cumbrian Mr Backhouse, have a good game at Holker St. Andy Cook was grappled all game with no protection, yet he eagerly rushed in to award two soft penalties. Poor, and a contributing factor to our defeat.
