Thought carver was very poor today. Didn't get into game at all. It was crying out for width again. Sadly cowps and shezzas crossing was poor. Howarth should have been on at half time. Cook and Guy were feeding off scraps.

Carver only played as he's better in the air than Howarth/Pilks.

Either one of those 2 would have come on if it wasn't for Paddys Paddy

I actually agree with you, the fans that follow Barrow AFC are a credit to the club, but it's these willybrains that spoil it for the proper fans.

On paper it was and still is a good point but they were there for the taking (even with 10 men). Lacey is a liability and I hope he's shown the door in the summer. We could get someone in to do his job without the petulance. How long is he banned for?

Each team had few clear cut chances yesterday, still end to end football where we both cancelled each other out.

Hope you win the league as I don't fancy our chances against you in the play-offs.

On a slightly different note, very impressed with chorleys programme and deffo think barrow could do with producing something like it. As well as the managers bit there is a captains bit, fans q&a, good advertising, facts page about the opposition but in the form of a numbers game I.e facts by Relevant numbers to said club. Just little bits but worth a read

Don't know how the likes of Brian Pilkington and Roy McCarthy managed on some of the cowfields we played on the sixties. But there again the middle of the field often resembled the Morecambe Bay quicksands.

Somehow, we coped, playing virtually the same side each week. Oh, and we got promoted.

That's exactly the reason he gave in his pre-match interview. His view was that the flanks were so bad they weren't conducive to creative wingers so he decided it wasn't the pitch for the likes of Pilkington.

Won't be many games these types of players play in this league then as every pitch is virtuall a cabbage patch! I don't buy this reasoning and was amazed Carver stayed on the pitch for 80minutes and wasn't replaced with some creative width.
