Goal was Dixon's fault no question but we should have stopped the cross.

Midfield were all poor, even the recently superb Yates off colour.

They passed it a lot better and coped quite well with our attempts to dominate them physically. Our centre backs played well.

The ref was bad but the one eedgit in the Popular Side middle who booed the team, well I couldn't help thinking back to some of the Barrow sides I've seen and that's just since 99!

Unbeaten run continues, handily placed, the X Bar is improving, winnable home game Saturday and it's a significant event on the Barrovian Social Calendar which means 36 of us are in corporate. Happy days :D

We need a decent keeper
The lad might have potential but he needs to go out on loan.
He cannot kick a ball ,collect a cross very much like Kevin Thomas when here years ago.
I take the point we are not defending cross balls but this team is made up of a lot of work in progress Dixon,Diarra.Bennet and Williams
I cannot see why Hannah is not playing maybe its our formation then why sign him?
Becarefull of what I wish for hopefully a goalkeeper ,decent midfielder and half back to play with Livsey.

Dixon is going to be a good keeper with the right coaching imo which he obviously isn't getting but his decision making coming for crosses and kicking is appalling - he should be number 2 keeper learning off an experienced number 1.

Regarding Andy wood I think he is very fair in his commentary and just because his opinion differs to others doesn't make him a knob. He is supposed to be impartial and if he criticises us fair play to him

Very well said we all want Barrow to do well and football is all a matter of opinions.
He needs a rest.

Yes on the radio I heard one boo which Andy Wood on the radio said the boo's were ringing out throughout Holker Street; the commentary team asked questions of Dixon (fair enough at least he did ask Cox about this). He also questioned why Hannah wasn't getting any game time (but he didn't ask Cox about it). They don't seem to their research very well either.

Maybe I was harsh saying he was a knob but I felt on a couple of occasions he was pulling the club down - we are 6th 4 points off the top and having played a lot of the top teams, it's disappointing to throw these 6 points away like we have but I am sure we will get better.

I hate listening on the radio

disappointed that we dropped points but in fairness, they had a great day Saturday and by the sounds of it worked bloody hard at fgr. It was another big team we played so a point is better than none and still on a decent run and up in contention!
I cant help but feel we need a wee wiper snapper up front with pace and agility to feed off the big lads with the loose balls.

Midfield was poor last night but they played well winning all first and second balls...even with our height in the team.

IMO we take too much time on dead balls, free kicks and throw ins.. sometimes being a bit sharper has the element of surprise. we just give teams too much time to organise and defend better.

All in all, a developing team that will only get better. Just wonder how we will fair up when the wind starts playing a factor at home? Always think it causes us problems let alone the away sides

As I'm in work in Cheshire that's a little hard.

I've managed 9 so far this season which is probably more than you.

To those who are saying drop Dixon and give Coughlin a chance I would say 'be careful what you wish for'. I have seen Coughlin play several games for Wrexham. If you think Joel is indecisive then....say no more. With regard to Radio Carlisle I caught one comment last night in this respect. Andy Woods (?) said he couldn't understand why Cox had not brought in an experienced keeper yet had signed a couple of youngsters then not even put them on the team sheet last night. Common sense would have told him that Harry P had not kicked a ball in anger since last season (way short of match fitness) and the Fleetwood lad had probably not even met the rest of the squad. As has been said research is not their strongest point.

Re the Dixon question, when Andy Wood and John Goodwin were discussing the alternative, John commented that Cox must see both Dixon and Coughlin in training and is apparentlyprefers Dixon. Make of that what you will. In the post-match interview, Cox was uncomfortable with the question about Dixon but said he was a good keeper, has saved us on other occasions, will get better and needs support to eliminate the errors. I think he also said something about a witch hunt not being helpful in that respect.
