The club don't promote the games enough or use social media properly

The weather and crap facilities put people off and the fact that even if we make the playoffs we might not be able to take part also puts people off as well as the fact the last couple of Saturday homes have been dire .

People are moaning about attendances but if nothing changes nothing chances - why aren't they giving out loads of free tickets / promoting the club in the community / working towards a plan to make facilities better / encouraging away fans / advertising the games well in advance

Coming up with some offers and promotions

Loads of ways to do it - many have suggested some which in the long run may naturally increase the hard core

Then we've had people stressing about rain all day and the main story in the paper this week we have 3 weeks to get our shit together otherwise no play offs - this from a club which said it was replacing the floodlights last summer and building a stand every season

The rain was attrocious this morning so I can see why it might have changed some people's plans. Previous performances may have made people think as well.

Please don't use the rain as an excuse it was OK after 1 o'clock
Don't think the shifts at bae have helped also the performances at home have been patchy
Anyway thought the team were excellent today

I am going to be controversial. Do we deserve league football. A guy has turned up and saved us from oblivion. We get into a strong position in the league. We have a great FA Cup run,Trophy run compared to usual and still we struggle to get the Barrow public to turn up up and support the team. It really is a poor do. The owner wants a regular 2000 watching.Good luck to him.

Yes it was ok after 1pm - but not everyone decides to do something last minute. How many people were querying whether the game might be on up until that point?

I've also seen some absolute dreadful games at Holker Street when the weather has been bad...so i don't blame people if they choose not to come on such an expectation.

Thought Meikle had an excellent game. No one played badly. Ref was pretty good and it was a soft penalty. We played some good football. If we had played like that earlier in the season the attendances would surely have improved. I also went home a happy bunny

First half was too scrappy and too many unforced errors but we looked marginally better and carried that into the second half too. Agree with the comments about Meikle - good use of the loan system to have him back match fit and ready to play.

Improve the facilities, commercial infrastructure and communication. Improve the quality of football on a consistent basis.

Average league crowd is 1342 so nor too far from 1500 and that is without doing anything sustained to increase that or improve the facilities
