Now now, no need for that. We were on the attack (in some disjointed fashion) for most of the game. FWIW I thought a draw was a fair result. Yes, we had enough chances to win it, but you had plenty yourself.

A very entertaining tussle with both sides having plenty of chances. Tranmere bright in midfield, but thought we adapted better as the game went on and sat deeper not allowing them to play little one twos through us.
Shape was disciplined today once we settled and I thought Audel did very well today considering his lack of games recently.
HP was blowing last 20 min and for I'd have swapped him as he looked spent.
Jones appeared to hoof it cross field after Holt realised Buxton might have been hurt - no way was it a cross - thought Tranmere were a bit sneaky playing on prior to our goal, but hey ho.

Fair enough. To be fair you played most of the game with 10 men as Cook didn’t look arsed and you gotta admit as far as a time wasting tactic goes... it was pretty inventive.

If it wasn't a cross, why did he hit it a fair distance across goal instead of turning and knocking it out at the near touchline?

Regardless, I think you had the right to play on. IIRC we'd tried to mount an attack after the incident before it came back our way. The only blame from our fans, by the way, was at the referee for not stopping it sooner despite a clear serious injury.

Enjoyed today.. Credit to both teams for playing open foitball. Credit to tranmere fans for visiting and helping toward a half decent atmosphere. Hope the tranmere player is ok..may shout some obcene stuff and abuse the opositionand ref etcbut don't wanna see people hurt! A very tight league this year and dispite our current lowly position, I really can see us finish 10th or above. Which baring in mind our crap start..I would be quite happy with! Summits still not right with byron.. younger lads should lool at holt and see how he applies himself and how he tracks, niggles and chases as if he was still a teenager..
Would have taken harry off last 15 and stuck yusuf on, left holt on, taken byron off replaced witj white.. would like to see more of either holt n white ot holt and adi... apart from that, no complaints!!

The difference in the two instances was that we were on the attack and, yes, decided to carry on and an overhit cross went out of play. Our keeper laput the ball out of play so someone could receive attention. You weren't on the attack but carried on as if you were. I would say that was far more unsportsmanlike.
I agree about Dixon throwing the ball down the tunnel though. He should have been booked.

Ady was meant to come on but the injury to Hall changed that

When there are numerous timewasting incidents such as the ball down the tunnel, it's not a stretch of the imagination to suggest that our players/management assumed that the 'injury' in added time was just another ruse. I guess we'll find out when we see your next teamsheet.

Would have been happy with a point at start of match and ended disappointed not to have three.Tranmere not really in gear first half and still managed to miss a few good chances .Dixon played much better but kicking still iffy.I too would like to know why Moore not on bench.Cant work out if Harrison not interested or if it’s because he doesn’t get good service like when Williams and Bennet here.He certainly doesn’t scrap for the ball.second half tranmere played faster with more purpose and had more chances but our defence held out sometimes more to luck then judgement.Credit to tranmere fans helping create good atmosphere and hope the injured player not badly hurt.Dixon an idiot throwing ball down tunnel deserved booking .A good hard earned point .Harry started well faded second half .Mcdonald excellent.Thought tranmere were one of better teams played here.Roll On next match hope reinforced by more players.

According to Radio Sheepdip Barrow played to their own man after the stretcher incident which is probably why their player was told to do similar. The player himself looked like he wanted to throw it to our keeper but he was told not to.

Barrow didn't play to their own man after the stretcher incident as the game restarted with a Tranmere throw-in. Also the referee didn't tell anyone to put the ball out of play when the Tranmere player was down injured but he did instruct Dixon to put it out for Hall to get treatment, in which case he should have told Tranmere to give possession back to us. Particularly unspecified o rating as they weren't even on the attach when Dixon followed the red's instruction.

Yep, players will put the ball out once a player is seriously injured - unfortunately there is that much play acting these days it's difficult to know when they are badly injured or just play acting - seen numerous Lazerus moments this year - Holt quickly realised he was injured and told Jones to put it out - perhaps in frustration he lumped it across the field not realising he was badly hurt. Sounds like all is well with Buxton which is good.
