Club Statement - Phil Brown
Re: Club Statement - Phil Brown
We would have stayed up with Cooper in charge imho trigger was pulled too early could have kept him to the end of the season Was sceptical about Brown but would have seen him as an ok appointment now need a younger man with ambition. Suspect monetary terms changed from what was agreed.

Re: Club Statement - Phil Brown
People saying this is a disaster etc ffs Brown might have had no contacts to bring in new player's don't forget how long he's been out of the game, it's the recruitment part we need right, let's all take a deep breath and calm down!

Totally agree.popular side wrote: ↑Thu May 12, 2022 9:41 pm Be very careful what you wish for ,because this is either a stupid mistake not to appoint Brown or they have someone they deem better in mind me for one thinks we better sort this mess out quickly before we become a laughing stock we need stability a clear out and a decent 22/23 season i hope things dont go tits up from here jeez its like watching Dallas with all these twists and turns and scandals please somebody sort this debacle out![]()
Either this is one big mistake or, they have someone waiting in the wings to be announced shortly-which could well be another big mistake.

Re: Club Statement - Phil Brown
Personally think we need a manager who will get us mid table and that's the best we can hope for next season.
Maybe someone like Curle.
We can't be in another relegation scrap as it could be third time unlucky
Would love Luke Garrard but probably unlikely.
Not sure the board will go for an unproven manager, but who knows what they'll do

In Adam's interview with PH last Saturday PH said to expect two announcements this week. This was number one. Will the next one be coming up soon announcing the new manager? I think it's a strong possibility.

Luke Garrard has just signed a new 3 year contract with Boreham Wood
Michael Appleton
Simon Grayson
Peter Wild
David Artell
David Unsworth
I would be happy with any of the above

Where is your evidence that Curle is an 'out and out bully'. Not saying he isn't but seems like a strong statement to make and wondering if you can tell us why you think thisMain Stand SeasonTct wrote: ↑Thu May 12, 2022 9:54 pmCurle is an out and out bully stay well clear.Mark Johnson wrote: ↑Thu May 12, 2022 9:49 pm Personally think we need a manager who will get us mid table and that's the best we can hope for next season.

Re: Club Statement - Phil Brown
i think the 2 announcements were 1. to defer the Academy and 2. not to appoint Brownie
Re: Club Statement - Phil Brown
Big job for our new Director of Football to sort out!

Hindsight is wonderful. If Cooper had stayed we would have had to start a suicide watch on the team and the supporterssambino wrote: ↑Thu May 12, 2022 9:45 pm We would have stayed up with Cooper in charge imho trigger was pulled too early could have kept him to the end of the season Was sceptical about Brown but would have seen him as an ok appointment now need a younger man with ambition. A lot blaming the club what if Brown appears at another club such as FGR and it was his choice to go to another club nearer where he lives.
